167 hours to get a DLC Car
Won my first multiplayer online race on Xbox which paid out 5 brickbux. Some of the cars cost around 10,000 brickbux. I estimate with loading a new match, filling lobbies, and finishing the race at a generous 5 minutes per race.

This means you'd need to win (not just complete) 2000 races, which at 5 minutes per race you'll complete in about 167 hours to get that 10k DLC car.

Needless to say I refunded the game. I can't imagine how anyone can find this anything but predatory.

I understand you get decent payouts for single player events, but that's only on the first time you complete the event. Payouts for subsequent completions of the same event are far less.

I bought 2 cars at 12-14k while playing through the story. Multiplayer is just pointless. I would not recommend the game either way, but mainly because of the lack of content and progression.

Not enough single player content from what I played. Open world looks good, races are fun. But the additional events in the open world area aren't great and many of them are very similar. Drive through the loops, knock over items or drive over items to pick them up.

Knocking pedestrians across the map is pretty funny.

Single-player events is the primary way to farm money. I've seen 500+ from the first run of some of the big ones, and then if you can manage some achievements during them you're just padding the amount. And then there's quite a few that give low amounts but are super grindable: There's a ~6s boat sprint challenge that you can probably repeat every 10s for the reward which is a pretty substantial farm if you can brute force it and land gold or silver times each run. I'm at 18k in ~10hrs total (including build time) game time with no actual grinding, just aiming for bronze minimum in any event I encounter driving around.

10 hours for 18k isn't really better. So it's only 5 and a half hours for a 10k car, and that's first-time earnings. Also, those single player payouts are not repeatable at the same amount as you first complete them. It's still an asinine amount of time for one item in the game.

5 bux for winning an online game is an insult. They want you to buy the in-game currency.
Digital Unity May 18, 2023 @ 7:14pm
Yeah the grind is trash. Unfortunately because there's premium currency to exchange for in-game currency, I don't think that's going to change.. 2K being the same greedy misers as always... Just a few more hours and we can tank the steam reviews on it though, so that's good

i think this game is the first one where im intending to leave a negative revieuw, i think that is saying enough about this game XD
clouts.rapper0 May 18, 2023 @ 11:16pm
It’s a grind fest to make up for lack of content. Also if you check earlier gameplay videos on YouTube you can see they used to give 20 bux for small missions in the beginning. Now it’s reduced to 7.

Some cars are 20k

because you bought a free2play game. it has mtx and that is the way to aquire anything.

Lol you are doing something wrong then. i got around 25k bucks in four hours by doing A class races. and atm sitting on 60k bucks after playing a day or so.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the point of this game to BUILD your own cars.

Would be a lot more useful if you guys were listing the prices of any bricks that need to be bought in the game and associated costs/time.
Morotheri May 19, 2023 @ 3:23am
I've already gotten enough for like, 6 cars at least.

damn it's almost as if the game is still in early access with limited content/grind options to earn more... (btw you can buy several cars just for map completion/story completion alone and multiplayer race earning dont matter if there is bigger rewards in singleplayer)

I understand reading apprehension can be cumbersome, but I said I started on Xbox in my first sentence. Look before you leap.
