Again timing a slip or weave hook/uppercut to body or riskier head shot counters this.
It comes down to an opponent that can adapt and actually wants to box though and we all know most seem to just want to spam power punches to go for a quick KO. Likely the reason we still only have 8 rounds online
I slip after every punch mate, jab slip lead hook, jab slip power straight so on and so fourth
I get what you are saying and I'm sure you know that slipping uses up stamina as well. Besides keeping an eye on stamina and heart rate ,maybe its the quality of opponent you are coming up against ? there is no fix for that.
I think and see that most people being frustrated with the game right now all have a similar thing in common in that they walk in stop, throw a few punches , a repetitive pattern or power punches, back up, circle and repeat. Then complain about the punches not landing.
No people are complaining because punches do not land, it is that simple, so all you have to do is let them throw and compromise themselves then hit them hard and they fall over, the game has no skill gap, it is all RNG, who ever walks back the most causing the other dude to miss will win the fight, it is horrible to play, completely boring!
I'm the last one to make excuses for this game after all this time but honestly I am just not experiencing this . If I just stand in front of an opponent and throw a punch or combo then yes most punches don't land,
However, if i start off with movement via slipping , diagonal weaving, side stepping or even just holding in a direction while throwing a punch, more often than not most punches land. The only thing that disrupts this is the desync via connection to opponent or due to some broken boxer animations.
Maybe I'm lucky?
I completely agree with the stamina drain being over compensated and also think that it should have just been tuned like this for power punches only. That being said the way it is now you can still pull off these 5-10 punch flurries when the opponent is dazed so I can kinda see how this is closer to emulating real boxing instead of letting you do it all match long.
