The PS5 version is the version to get and I just have to think if I want to support the studio for potential enjoyment or continue to stop expecting things to change as they will only take the biggest shortcuts possible to bandaid fix problem after problem.
edit: For the hacking, I see a lot of stamina hacking. People baiting you to lead the pace and throw. It's not like regular strategy because you will be at 40% within 5 rounds. They will lose some rounds to try to win long term but it's not normal to be gassed early. So whether it's "desync" or stamina hacking, I will just totally slow down the game plan and switch up when I see my stamina drain way more than average in 2 rounds or so.
Overall it's just that the hacks haven't been updated since February 2024 from what I can research and they are just so well known at this point. So it's usually just a bunch of people who justify "I only hack when I see others do it" which all just falls under a weak lame subjective umbrella. And they are truly kidding themselves that they only do it when other's do it. It's impossible to be that disciplined. Everyone has their own subjective version of "what is fair" in this game and I agree with people who say that there are way too many complaints on punch types and strats that are exploitative. But those are also the people who rationalize the mods using that same arbitrary criteria. So the power mod gets ticked on IF they are losing or get rocked legit and think it wasn't legit, or they think their stamina is draining and it's just desync, or whatever the reason. So it's usually not just a single mod but many working within the fight.
Whoever uses mods or used to use them and fought me will know I rarely ever dip out of match as I really always viewed them just as other fights and I will try to do as well as I can given my own perception of being against a disadvantage as it's not always how I see it either. But I probably have some of the least disconnecting rates of any player. It's to a point though now that it's just not very enjoyable because the mods are indeed not difficult to understand how they work.
Besides stamina and power there is the ability to use the 'magnetic' effect and the invisible wall effect to change the scoring of the fight. So punches won't hit and register for the other player and that's mostly how "win all rounds" is done. Besides just slowing down with stamina drain, there is a slowdown of punches when you are close to the opponent. So you will likely get baited into being aggressive and then punished if you try to string even two punches together. The only way to counter that is simply to pot shot and just run the second you score a punch and not get greedy.
My guess is we will have Easy Anticheat implemented with Epic Online Services for October 8th on the PC version and console versions. This will set up the potential also for crossplay and possibly interconnected leaderboard management as that's offered in Epic Online Services despite the game being a Unity engine game. It's the only reason I can think of that has SCI advertising the use of EoS on SteamDB. If it works even at a 50% reduction in PC hacks then I would be thrilled as I really don't care that much about running into hackers but understand why people do.
Weirdos 🤷♂️ hopefully the grow a little more. Can’t satisfy a lady with a lil millimeter Peter
I think i have lost an inch in the past two years playing this game to the hours I have. No Cap.
We can run a game when I get back home.
Yeah I agree with this as well. I'd say the majority of people who think they are fighting a cheater are only fighting network connections. I think that gets lost in my posts at times but it comes to a point that it is possible to connect about 4 to 5 different signs that point to a really high chance of it being a modder. But there aren't a ton of player with 1000+ hours and who don't quit fighting modders or bad network connections and that's the problem.
The first year of the game, the achievement of "knockout a CPU on pro or higher difficulty in under 60 seconds" stayed at the rarest achievement at about 0.03%. Obviously there were cheaters for the first year of the game but it is a good indicator of mods being used to get that achievement. It was the one achievement i couldn't get until RNG just gave me the one hitter knockout that occurs in the first 60 seconds. If you crank up the damage the CPU can get up which takes like 30 seconds each time so it was just an RNG achievement. It's now at 2.4% but it was .03% a year ago. That's a giant increase and it outpaced the get up 5 times and win which is now the rarest. We do have a major power bump from Feburary which also legitly makes it easier to proc that achievement but it's the one most difficult achievement to get unless you use a mod for a 1 punch KO.
I always respect your input but I don't see that personally. However I could see maybe heavy weight having a bigger issue with it given Fury and his reach? But since February update cranking up the power, I just see in other weight classes that hooks negate body upper abuse. Especially for me as I don't use the buttons, it's just easier to throw uppercuts using the sticks, my body work is WAY down. And as clean of a fighter I have said I am, since the update, most of my fights are hook heavy. But sinice I don't play HW, I could see how I am not seeing it from the Big Guys with that reach maybe using it as the first punch thrown most of the time while keeping distance. I'll likely be fine with however the game evolves with balance as it's always playable for me. I just hope SCI is being for real about trying to make this game last after it gets released. I just haven't heard anything that sounds hopeful which would require them to admit where some things didn't go as planned and what they are doing moving forward.
Are you saying you don't have the 60 second KO of CPU? Yeah it's complete RNG unless someone is gonna do a 1 punch KO. It took me I think 800 hours until it occurred. I tried messing with the slider settings for max damage but the knock downs take so much time off the clock, the only way to get it under 60 seconds is for a 1 punch KO to occur in the first minute. So i could see people get lucky in a few hours or people may not have it at 2400 hours or 3 times as long as when it happened to me. It's crazy the get up mini game is harder for people as that is the rarest achievement now.
I've got almost 500 hours in this game, so yea, I can tell when you're cheating. I know these boxers and how they perform. Canelo, Robinson, Ali, Fury, they can dish it, but WILL slow and loose stamina. You can see it happen. They have to back off and recover. If you don't back off and just keep throwing bombs... No No No. If I can't get those results with them, neither can you. Unless... U GONE.
