Nerf Sugar Ray Robinson

Ray Robinson is overpowered and reigns over 3 weight classes. With the new update his pick rate must've increased a lot, cause everyone is using him. Most people just spam left and right hooks and there's not really much counterplay against him. It feels like his stats are even higher than they already are, like some kind of phantom stats, because not even Roy Jones Jr. feels that strong.

Imo you should only enable Ray Robinson for 1 weight class, so you can at least avoid him, till he gets some kind of adjustments. He's one of the greatest for sure, but fought in a different era and i think modern boxers would've beat him. I think some of his stats are not justified and he shouldn't be that easy to play. Boxers like Loma or Roy Jones Jr. have high stats for example, but they're not easy to play and require good timing and patience, but for sugar ray robinson it's just about spamming left and right hooks, followed by aimbot body uppercuts lol

Am I the only one that feels this way? Before this update, i've seen a lot of boxer variety but now it's just Sugar Ray i'm facing. I enjoy getting stomped by a good player but it's frustrating if u clearly are better skill wise and still lose cause the opponent is abusing op tactics.

Exactly. All people do at MW is Roy or Canelo and sometimes Robinson. I use Nigel 90% of the time and Robinson about 10% of the time.

yes I agree this fighter is too strong in this game just like ALI who is simply a Mike Tyson in power, and as you say Sugar Ray Robinson these days would be surpassed if he fought with modern boxers which is completely normal we evolved and learned with better coaches, so he must be nerfed just like ALI, Cannelo deserves to be upgraded because he is super super slow when moving he can't do anything against a good sprinter

He was the greatest in his era but modern boxing is different. But let's not forget that the argument is weak. Ray Robinson maybe is one of the greatest, this doesn't mean every player that's abusing him in ranked is as well. Nerf him or make him harder to play. Picking Sugar Ray and winning a fight doesn't have to do anything with skill.

Go pick a B tier fighter and watch how quickly it is to get a right left left or left right left hook swarm by SRR, Nelo or Khan. It has nothing to do with skill. Some characters are way overpowered even for 90 ratings. Just like some are underpowered at 90 like Loma.

Personally I can deal with SRR but agree he is overpowered for his rating. I still think lightweight khan is by far the cheapest in the game and way over 87 rating. I rarely use him because it’s just no contest even against a Loma or Crawford. I don’t want the fighters to lose their fluidity by making them super slow but some guys need some serious balance. I can beat a Crawford with dalton smith at times but that same person using Crawford will knock me out in 4 rounds by switching to khan.

the blocking mechanics in undisputed are fast enough to block your left left right right up down whatever combo. youre brain just not fast enough.

if ure so pro howcome u didnt counter the first hook, or blocked the first hook and dodged the rest? or something else? but youre complaining cos low tier casual fight iq.

i just used porter against SRR and can absolutely block left left right head body hook spam, so is absolutely your own defensive skill issues.

lmfao bro he also has the body & cut resistance of a heavyweight. Every streamer that doesnt wanna lose just spams SRR for 3 hours and ends the stream swearing they did something impressive or watchable. He's a bailout character and broken to absolute ♥♥♥♥. He's mr hook spam. There's nothing else SRR players do... end of fight they'll have 33 landed jabs and 378 thrown hooks....

He's league banned everywhere for a reason and if you have any real experience in this game and use him on a regular you should be humiliated & ashamed to even speak to other players in the community.

You think the game is in an amazing state which is probably why you have been called your steam name your whole life. You find only people are the only faults of the game and talk like you have never even played it. Blocking is completely casualized and this game gets more simplified for players like yourself that continue to give positive reinforcement after each time the mechanics get dumbed down. For the last time the ranked player sweat play is body uppercut spam. It’s impossible to block on the first shot since you cannot react to it being throw. There are too many movements required to block one and they come out as fast as a jab at distance. Your inability to grasp this isn’t anyone’s fault but your own. The best players can’t even relate to anything you say because you simp for mechanics and gameplay depth that doesn’t exist but that’s not your fault stupididiot. I’m just proud of you getting gud to play a video game online.
