Doesnt matter about any of that, if they dont switch to dedicated servers the game is finished already. Its like putting lipstick on a corpse
Undisputed is also one of the more expensive Early Access products and nowhere near as feature complete as other Early Access products on the market currently, many of which are close to £10 cheaper. Forget FN Champion for now, it's not doing the rounds against other EA projects imho, regardless of genre.
I routinely pick up EA games because I want to support good, solid indie projects. Undisputed has a good foundation but lacks a huge amount of depth in numerous key areas.
The only thing worth doing at the moment is engaging in the online, ranked or unranked meat-grinder and there's nowt else to do, unless you enjoy daily, one-off prize fights for some XP.
Game even has a storefront on the first page. Says "coming soon" sure, but it's hilarious that the store was even thought of for a game this incomplete. Wonder how long it'll be before SC turn around and say they need more money to support development, thus new fighters going forward will cost money.
Talking about Champion, I'm pretty sure I picked up FN Champion for £40 on launch day, this is £15 less than that and nowhere near as complete, absolutely wild.
This game has a long way to go and I think people are mistaking racking up wins on Undisputed to think that that equals the game being good.
For me, I'll put it like this way: I was regularly playing games like UFC 4, in spite of its flaws and I also have played/still play the older Fight Night games too. After giving disputed a good amount of time and effort, both during the beta and early access, the game is just not enjoyable in its current state.
Because the game is so sluggish and because feints don't work as they should, reactive play goes completely out the window. Strikes are rarely felt, and their attempts to 'fix' spamming means that I can through a strike (that I wasn't spamming) but someone the game thinks that I've thrown it 10 times in a row, so it slows my strike down. The game is completely underwhelming and has somehow gotten worse.
Now I am back on UFC 4 and even though that game definitely has its flaws, you can actually still enjoy the game because it is slick, you 'feel' the strikes (which Undisputed lacks), and moving backwards, forwards, sideways and feints are all clean and I can actually control HOW I want to fight. Undisputed has a long way to go and like you say they need to seriously prioritise fixes.
I corrected your title, Sir :)
Amazing how your only rebuttal to any of my talking points is to go
"hur dur buy nuva ea box game den oh wait".
If you have nothing meaningful to add to the discussion, even if it comes from a place of praise for the game, perhaps you should stop talking entirely.
Imagine talking about steam rank , I don't play a lot of games but the game I do play I have a major interest in, I have over 150 hours played of this game , I'm undisputed rank , with over 350 ranked games and probably 50 quick games , I've played every boxer in every weight class multiple times , I was also a top 500 rank in fight night champion and still played up until undisputed release with probably 1000s of hours played , so I think I'm qualified to give an opinion on Undisputed.
When I say learn to play I mean actually put some hours into the game before coming on and giving you crap opinion.
The game is more complex than fight night champion so trying to play it like fight night and complaining it not like fight night is pretty dumb, you can just stand toe to toe with your block up and spam punches , this game rewards using movement to avoid punches and time and use my your blog cl smartly , it rewards working the body( a bit too effective at the minute )and playing smart , winning rounds and picking your shots. The fighters have specific strength which means you have each fighter is played different to be the most effective. This game is requires you to box rather just spam punches. I could go on but ther s a lot to learn :D
Putting EE tag on a piece of ♥♥♥♥ does not make it any less ♥♥♥♥♥♥. And considering the amount of work that was put into the game from the start I don't think anything will change.
The worst thing is that devs don't say anything. They should at least announce what is their main focus
