And that's what makes 90% of the player base so easy to beat - not only do they refuse to think, thinking is regarded as inherently unmanly. So of course they complain about it - everyone complains when they lose. They say crap like "x thing isn't realistic" and while the game isn't perfectly realistic, it's clear these guys knowledge of boxing seems to be primarily comprised of Youtube knockout highlights. They've heard of the Rumble in the Jungle and the Thrilla in Manila but have apparently never watched them.
Game needs a lot of polish but so many of the complaints boil down to "I'm too stubborn or impatient or just plain dumb to play it right" and I avoid saying that more often because I don't feel like arguing with these guys any more than I already do.
I just hope the devs don't take most of the complaining to heart and try to turn this into rock em sockem robots lol!
Playing against Sugar Ray Leonard felt like fighting a buzzsaw, which is what I'd imagine fighting him in real life during his WW prime was like. That alone tells me they're on the right track.
I still have not won a prize fight on the hardest difficulty. I was happy as hell when I lasted 6 rounds once! Fight nights hard mode was about like medium prize fight here.
The length gamers go to justify ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. No wonder gaming industry constantly spits in our face...because we just accept it.
This game is early access with unbalanced gameplay and broken fundamentals. Please STOP being delusional.
That kind of people who would put nails in their gloves to secure a win, but probably put them the other way around anyway.
And then you can just see the frustration in posts of people who can't learn the basics and failed exploiting. You can tell it by their overly exaggerated superficial absolutes. Often needlessly rude as well, because we all giggle when we say ♥♥♥♥.
I've only done one Prize Fight on the hardest difficulty and I did win it but I learned early on that you have to stay the hell away for the first few rounds and let them get exhausted. CPU hits like a freight train on that level. It's one area where you definitely shouldn't feel bad doing a little body spamming.
Hard to put much stock into the opinions of people who refer to a game they've put about 60 hours or more into as "Unplayable."
The trick is to realize there are no servers.
The prize fights are generally tougher and require that you use a certain boxer, against a certain boxer, under certain parameters, such as starting 4 rounds into the fight with you having lost all those rounds. And I think you're only allowed to get knocked down so many times. The CPU also hits like a brick on those modes, especially the highest one.
I haven't had video capture software on a pc in about 7 years lol. I'll look into it this weekend. I think I still have my old youtube account that I posted some tutorials for a different game years ago. Any ideas other than youtube to post a video like this?
Also a couple of questions for you.
Do you want 1, 2 or 3 fights?
Do you want a fight against a spammer?
Do you want me to show starting the game and going right in to show no cheats used? (cause I usually do a prize fight to warm up)
Do you want me to talk through my thought processes during a fight? This would be hard but I can try lol!
I have no problem showing that you can most certainly out box someone by utilizing stick skill and counters w/o just hiding behind a block. If they block the head primarily use body shots to open the head up, counter the punches and do dmg that way. Figure out the punch rotation that they use and block, counter it.
