The force field is when your two feet touch it forces you to a in the pocket animation. You have to drop your guard and dash backwards. it needs to be worked on too.
Not every boxer moves better in loose mode. Its the animation and the input delay thats the issue a check hook cuts an angle but in this game its a clunck loopy wide hook that just side steps

Quite literally everything you talked about there I totally agree with... well done and well said, my friend... I hope Steel City not only see but watch this video from beginning to end, they need to!!. :))
My opinions can change in an instant, but. That's how I see it so far.
1. The fighters have weight to their movement and cant simply float instantly in different directions. The developers told us about this a long time ago. Movement is fine. Learn to anticipate and read your opponent.
2. A simple backstep jab or straight breaks you out of this almost instantly.
