Balance it? No I want accurate versions of the fighters in game.
The only thing wrong with Ali is his weight in this game, he was like 215-220 not 238.
+1 on that mate.....
I reported about Ali being modelled overweight as he was in the 70's and why they didn't model Ali from the 60's just before he was banned from boxing when he was at his best peak we would ever see? Ali's face in particular looks far too plump and heavy for a fit Ali, and as you said they also have his weight wrong which gob-smacks me considering the detailed information they must have had access to after obtaining the license to include Ali, surely?
Plus Ali has a Chinese look with his eyes in the fight intro's and between rounds in his corner... not sure if that is very poor facial animation expressions applied to his face by the animators or what but it looks terrible for Ali and the same for Sugar Ray Leonard too.
Me: Career mode needs to be in or it isn’t worth it.
Community: uh duh we dun wan career. Its pose tuh be an online only game anyway a-doy
This is exactly what people were concerned about. Paying for a stress test only to be walled by meta’s and cheap tactics. Steel city will spend most of the year and ignore half of their roadmap just to try to balance the game.
I would also like to see a roy jones when he was on steroids. His appretanxe looks pillow-y. Just like Ali, it seems they picked the version of Roy that was at the end of his career.
I see no reason why a bad Ali player should beat a good Frank Bruno for instance, based solely on "stats" and "bonuses".
I want to play a technical fighter, where I have a chance at winning with any fighter. It makes no sense to have 50 or 250 fighters in the game, if only one or two are ever used in each division.
I too hope there is some created fighter space in the game, with a ceiling on stats. To make the game about actually fighting. Rather than who chooses the highest rated fighter.
Hopefully Early Access has made a few things apparent to the dev team, and they try to balance the experience. It looks good, plays quite well. But the lack of feedback, and unbalanced nature of things makes it too frustrating in the long term to want to play more than a match or 2 at a time.
I really want to like this game. I like being the underdog. But unless I choose a fighter that is unbalanced, I don't stand a "fair" chance. And that isn't fun to me. Or maybe I just suck and don't understand the game well enough after half a dozen hours....
Git gud.
