Recovery from a knock down is awful
Clunky weird controls that are not relatively easy to get up from. Needs to be changed and made more user friendly. Absolutely disgusting

I think it kind of reflects how you get up from a knock-down in a real boxing match LOL you feel clumsy, out of balance and coordination just like the mini game. I guess the point is to reward the player who knock the opponent down

This is nowhere as atrocious as what was used on Rocky for PSP. Their recovery system was easy to understand yet close to impossible to execute properly; and there was no option to automate or bypass KO recovery at all. Compared to that, this one we have with Undisputed is a blessing.

This would be nothing life real life getting up from a knock down. The Mini game is TRASH

I've seen this complaint a lot and it has me curious as to what other people are doing. I guess I could see it being kind of difficult for those trouble coordinating what both of their hands are doing at once, but all I can say is that I personally haven't had much trouble with it, in the two times I've been knocked down (Once for training, and once in an exhibition fight).

Though I admit both times I got up around 7, and given that I think I did the minigame fairly well that seems sort of late for one knockdown. I'd like to see some more quick knockdowns, the kind you get not so much for hurting your opponent but for surprising them, for a touch of realism. Those kinds of 'lights out' knockdowns/animations boxing games love should really be reserved for the knockout blow, any reputable ref in the world stops the fight at that point.

Maybe, it would just be best for the developers to give players option for a stat-based automatic recovery (like the ones already in Fight Night titles). Incentive to go the mini-game route would be slightly higher chance (compared to boxer stats, perhaps +2) for player to succeed at the recovery attempt.

i don't like that minigame too, especially for a first knockout, it's too difficult to stand up again. This should be more related to the boxerstats and stamina left but they all feel difficult.

Besides that, the whole animation sequence including commentary when someone gets knocked down feels underwhelming and boring. Just a simple static camera.

Cause people are frustrated with this lazy fcking game developing. We wait 10 years for new boxing game, we finaly get one and it is not even close good to last one 10 years ago.

I find the mini game impossible, like rubbing your head and patting your belly. Thats the only bad thing about the game...

Why it should be easy?

You have to stare right down the middle and pay attention to both at the same time. I liked the system in FNC, but this one is probably better in terms of skill, which is probably the reason you don't like it.

I played with a friend who doesn't even play video games and he figured it out after a couple fights and was able to get up from a second knockdown. The third one is difficult even for me. I get up about 70% of the time. Forth one I've come close but never gotten up. But it's a system that feels like you could master it and get up 6-7 times, as opposed to FNC where the 4th was difficult and you were always 100% doomed on the fifth knockdown.

I'm not very good at the mini game 'cuz my TV is too big/I'm sat too close and I'm also not very used to it. I did like the fact in FNC you could choose to go for an 8 count whereas this doesn't give the option (so you can gain that bit of extra recovery before standing up)
...but, maybe try to not go down? Unless your JMM/Gatti/Ward/Castillo you shouldn't really be getting up after 4 KD's anyway. So I guess I'm on the fence with this one.

I agree its horrible. The game itself should be easy but difficult to pull off the more you get knocked down. This system needs to be scrapped or seriously changed. Ive lost a couple fights because i couldnt get up because lag and my fighter being tired in fights i shouldve won.

It is horrible to have a painful get up minigame in a game where you can't feel the pain...
You bunch are not scared of punch, at least you scared of getting up...
