A.I is a counter attacking God
I've been playing the AI on what i think is the second difficulty and they are a counter attacking machine. In one match they landed 138 counter attacking blows to my 18, I won by split decision but my goodness!!.
I probably suck but has anyone had a similar experience

Yeah, feels like they can get into a loop of throwing the perfect punch right behind the one you just whiffed. Just had to back off and let them change priorities

the ai hardcore input read for sure swear ill throw a cross and before it even throws ai slips and cracks me with a hook then instantly comes with a straight right to stun and cracks with another hook

Yes, the AI does not lose stamina, it gives few punches but does a lot of counters, and the judges often give the victory to whoever counters the most...

seems impossible to block power body shots from ai at undisputed difficulty.

Every fight I am in, the AI hardly punches unless it's a counter. And I am not throwing more than 60 punches myself, but even if it shows they land 25 punches, 20+ are counters. The AI countering in this game is absolutely OP. Can't even try tossing a jab without it being slipped mid punch and getting double hooked before I can even get my gloves up again. The speed in which they throw the counters is ridiculous. It definitely needs fixing. Going against Ward on the settings it's on, regardless of the level is an absolute nightmare of a counter-fest from Ward. You wonder how he wasn't the greatest boxer ever with that skill. It's like they are omnipotent.

It's too bad the devs most likely don't read through these threads to get a better idea of additional tweaks that need to be done

I feel this topic needs to be active. I have found this to be a serious issue for the offline players that don't have as much interest in online only fighting. Which, essentially this game is just the beta (online only) with an added offline "quick play". Was hoping for at LEAST the CAB added in, but regardless - this counter punch issue (as well as the window for the punch to be performed which is way too long) NEEDS to be addressed for the offline players.

Yes. This. And it crumple stuns too. Ai's Power Punch Modified Body Uppercut is super cheap. Undisputed difficulty is a Haymaker machine that can decimate any player in the first round.

Yeah I don't really care for online play in games like these but the A.I. makes offline borderline unplayable. The fact that even a jab getting blocked leads to a counter half the time is unacceptable. And if you want to see how truly bad the A.I. is currently, start a fight against one and don't throw any punches. On average I was counting about 30 seconds before they'd throw a punch.

yea.. honestly i find it takes a pretty specific pattern to beat the AI and kind of takes the fun out of it

the worst part is the online servers seem to be really laggy or something too because its just not very consistent with the game play some games feel crisp and smooth and others feel like your fighting in water or something 10x slower to react or perform inputs/missing inputs and the delay/lack of ability to do anything at times is just terrible to play and it seems like its favoring one side with the connection or something most times and honestly it sucks to be on either side of that.

The I.A is very beatable in every difficulty but Undisputed.
Have a pretty easy time in pro but when I jump to Undisputed I'm getting destroyed, had a hard time knocking down the I.A but couldn't win it just counter everything.
Honestly they just need to make it a tad more agressive and less counter focus and it would be good I think

It's not you, this game is absolute garbage

The difficulty jump from amateur to intermediate is insane tbh... they go from a push over to being barely able to hit due to their slips/constant blocking and they counter like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy, which makes you basically unable to attack a lot of the time for fear of getting slipped and ripped.

There are counters hitting me before my arm even starts to move from my input command, its actually kinda insane how much of a jump intermediate is. I haven't tried pro difficulty, but I can imagine its legit cancer.

Also, I have an issue where I've been hit but haven't seen an animation at all for it? anyone else getting that?
Diakoptes Feb 1, 2023 @ 7:40pm
Amateur I put them down in 2 rounds, 3 at max, but intermediate I can barely touch them without getting slipped and ripped XD

I've found that the harder the difficulty, the more realistic the game is and it's actually a little easier, which is weird. On the easiest difficulty, they don't punch the much but will counter the ♥♥♥♥ out of your punches and they don't miss. The next two difficulties up, they actually fight back, which enables you to counter them and it just opens up more opportunities.
