Am I the only one who thinks this Alpha is fantastic

Been playing as Ali and Fury and what a great boxing experience it is already in Alpha. Using the Dpad up movement and throwing jab cross into your opponent is just a classy experience. Hope to watch this title go from strength to strength for the full release.

im really enjoying it, discovering more and more each fight, there is really quite a lot of depth to it, i don't even think many people have discovered what the dpad can actually do yet.

I think people need to start out with a Sugar Ray/ Ali type of fighter. Personally I tried Rocky and played up close with uppercuts and hooks and got absolutely dropped in round 2. I think the close game will require a decent amounts of playing experience to get to grips with. But the slip speed around the ring with the light footed dancers is so good. Fight Night was always like fighting in syrup, it just had solid arcade punch mechanics.

I’m enjoying it. I think the jab needs a lot of work and the weaving and slipping also need to become more useful. A skill area of fight night was using distance and really being able to make your opponent miss if you were skillful with ducking and weaving their punches. This game has a lot of potential though.

I completely agree and think this is great advice while learning the systems. Sugar Ray is especially effective in the second movement mode where he can play the outside and poke safely

For what it is right now it's pretty good. Certain things obviously need work but other things are good and even great. For example it has the best Muhammad Ali iteration we have ever had in a boxing game.

I'm super excited to see where this will be in 6 months from now.

amazes me that you are at an age you have lost your virginity and still cant find the clinch button in a game... the game even tells you how to do it, just ya know... look at the controls lol

Easily better than Fight Night so far, but, its been a very long time since Fight Night so I'd expect it to be better.

Slightly concerned theres basically a microtransactions button, but ill let it go until ive seen it.

I hope they have a decent story mode, Fight Night stunned me when they had one and it was actually good.

However this will live or die for me based off its career mode. I'm hoping for depth, longevity and options. I really am not arsed about multiplayer, its all singleplayer for me. Can't wait to see how they handle it.

For an early release, it's good. The fighting mechanics are deep - though there are some touch ups that need to be made.
