fighting style of this game...

so far the game feels more of an inside fighting style game. I'm trying to move around and counter but everything slows down once the AI etc gets close in and it's slow to move out again.

The AI comes over super aggressive also so im mostly fighting on the inside unless I hurt them and they back up. I know it's early access and all so hopefully they can tweak the way the AI fights depending on the fighter.

I haven't experienced that personally. Are you toggling the loose/tight movement with the up arrow on the d-pad? I was Gatti vs. Ward and when I went to the loose stance, I was dancing around, throwing more combos and backing him up. When I was tight, he closed in and threw more.

I'm hoping there's some tweaks too. So far it feels like counter punching is the only way to win vs AI on high difficulty, and it also feels so many fighters have alligator arms and can't reach with punches even when I'm toe to toe.

I know what you are saying mate, i tried doing floating and countering with fury but as you say when the opponent gets close in it kind of forces you to fight on the inside it's not as smooth as when you back out of the inside either or maybe just my pc lol

it just seems like theres some kind of disconnect with moving and punching like you almost have to stand still or slow way down to actually punch or you throw a punch when you get in range and it just comes out so slow the other guy is across the ring by the time you can move again lol at least this is my experience
