Fairy Decks, talk about yours.

Starting thinking about Fairy decks due to someone talking about them in another thread. So felt like fishing for people who have fairy decks. See what everyone is up to.

So, tell me about your Fairy deck.

I had to check what decks were even fairy to begin with ngl. Other than purrely that i made a long time ago that I barely used even a handful of times, the only fairy deck besides that ever really interested me was my nemleria/yosenju deck. I WOULD however love to play Arcana Force.

I built Vylon in the early days just for fun but still doesn't get a decent support or generic engine until now so I dismantled them.

Only one I have that I feel confident about as a pure fairy deck is Weather Painters, though it synergies with Ashura too well not to play him. And generally, I love how unique it is, nobody is going to confuse the end-board for something else. The gimmick allowing you to dodge targeted effects is pretty neat too.

I have experimented with Dark Lords and Agents and - it's been kinda a pain and they feel too one note.

I genuinely tried to make a theme deck around apollousa (not as a splashed tech, but as the central theme. People seem to forget she has two other cards related to her). I felt like she best worked with Agents, and it was...okay? back in the day I had counter fairies but that feels bad to play if I'm honest, but maybe it wouldn't feel bad anymore considering counter traps are ironically slower than hand traps.

I also like cyber angels too, but I don't have the deck Q_Q

I've been playing pure Melodious as that is the only pure fairy deck that I have built.

I played with Prediction Princess for a bit, but damn was it bad. Funny when it went off tho.

I count on Kurikara a lot in my Mikanko though. If she's on my starting hand going 2nd, she's the greatest fairy of the deck imo, didn't need to build a fairy deck. ^^

When I think fairies, I think Counter Fairies. Usually splashed with a small Agent engine, because Agents always felt too clunky to stand on their own and they have Parshath bridging the two. I never ran it a lot and don't even have it built in Master Duel.

I completely forgot about counter fairies. I think I remember using them for one of the events a long time ago. Ngl I kind of miss them but I may as well just play dinomorphia at that point.

I feel bad I forgot to mention both mikanko and melodious....I absolutely adore mikanko, I just wish there was a little more to them than what there is, but by design I can't really see them going too much more than what they are.

I enjoy Darklord's concept and design, but they're pretty bad in modern yugioh. You'll encounter few, if any, randoms that will allow you to do much of anything with it.

First thing that came to mind is Trickstars, it's a surprisingly nasty little burn deck that I'm surprised doesn't get used as much. But then again I suppose if people wanted to make a burn deck Nurse burn OTK is the more appealing choice.

If we ever have the 2025 equivalent of the 2024(?) lifepoint event, I suggest trying out the nurse burn OTK deck there, surprisingly fun and very thematic for the season with gift card.

I mean I'll give it a shot but OTK decks never interested me much, a friend recommended I try GImmick Puppet OTK but I just can't get behind OTK decks. I'm kind of considering it, but they just seem so boring because there's no real... well, gameplay for lack of a better word.

Unless we're talking those Exodia FTK decks, then I'm all for it because I can't hate some chad still playing Exodia in 2024.

Ah, yeah I can see why burn decks would be very popular in an event like that lol.
