Is Centurion way too splashable?
Feels like every syncho deck that dosen't lock uses the centurion engine and its kinda boring

Anyone mixing with Snake Eyes can splash in them for good measure too.
I'm yet to see a toybox player try to mix in those, but it also seems on brand.
It turns out being able to dump Cosmic Blazar Dragon with minimal investment is a pretty sound idea. Especially if your deck is capable of putting multiple, like a lot of decks that just splash Cent are. It's kinda like Dragoon for synchros, in that it's super generic, generally easy enough to access, and provides some extra power to the end board.

Safe to say I wouldn't be on a Centur-Ion package in my WF deck without the existence of Crimson Dragon to let me cheat out Blazar.

I would not mind centur-ion being able to do what it does if crimson dragon didn't exist. But since we have that abomination, it means pretty much any deck can just splash out a turbo negate on top of their end board. Centur-ion is a cool concept in theory, but once again the lack of any forms of restrictions whatsoever means there's no reason to use it for its in-archetype intended purpose

Konami thought printing Agarpain again as a Lvl 12 Synchro Monster would be enough to fix it.

yea its mostly just because they can very easily make crimson dragon, the archetype itself is pretty cool imo in how it functions. It's one of those cards that really should be banned at this point

Again Meklord was the true hero of 5Ds

It's fine. It's not too overwhelming even if it's too splashable. The problem is that you don't know what to negate and sometimes even 3 hts might not be enough, but that's a yu-gi-oh problem in general. Very easy 1 card combos for impressive boards.

I mean maybe, personally I just chalked it up to it being popular.

If they didn't have crimson dragon I don't think many people would be playing it

Not as many perhaps but I have seen builds in ranked without it and don't tend to use Crimson myself. Its not a bad card obviously but Centurion can do more than make Crimson Dragon.
