Is The Wicked Avatar a good boss?
I'm building a deck focusing on dark attribute monsters and The Wicked Avatar, so I'm looking for cards for that support fiends/dark monsters

No. It's missing every requirement that makes for "a good boss". It is a stun monster that on summon temporarily prevents your opponent from activating spells and traps, and is otherwise just a beatstick with a variable amount of ATK.

It has no protection, does nothing after being summoned, doesn't even threaten your opponent with a high statline, and is difficult to summon because it demands your normal summon with three tributes (like the god cards which are also not good bosses). Cool, maybe, but not good.

That's disappointing what boss would you recommend? Im also running cards like lair of darkness and mudragon

I'd say the biggest problem is that the Wicked Avatar (and the other Wicked god cards) aren't really searchable since being a fiend with ?/? stats makes it actually nigh unsearchable through normal means. It also doesn't help that said cards haven't gotten any support outside of one card which is shared by the og god cards as well and does nothing to actually help them.

They can be searched with three eyed ghost since it serches for a lv 10 dark monster and they have one support card in divine evolution

I mean, be more specific? Is this just a pile or generics, or are you actually using an archetype? Because there's a lot of dark-focused decks out there. Off the top of my head, Dark World, Labrynth, Unchained, Evil Eye...

Darkest Diabolos is the boss intended to be used with Lair of Darkness, which in turn is supposed to play with the Virus cards. It's old and clunky though, will not keep up with the modern game regardless of how you build it. Lair is best used as a floodgate.

You're better off getting chaos angel in your deck compared to wasting resources on trying to get the wicked avatar on the board... The reason why there's next to no support for it and why basically nobody even plays that card is because it requires too much effort for what you get out of it...

This is a pile I made for locals, so I don't have access to exact archtypes. I'll try looking for those archtypes

I like 5-headed link dragon as a boss monster.
It's fairly easy to get out since it requires 5 monsters without any restrictions,it is a 5k beatstick that is unaffected by other cards, and can only be destroyed by battle with a light monster.

I keep it in my extra deck if my opponent makes me go first.
It's a wall that Tenpai can't get through, and I have yet to see an Tenpai player run Underworld Goddess.
Just gotta hope your opponent isn't playing Mikanko.

It's a spell/trap floodgate that ends on your 2nd standby phase, but it must stay on field for this effect.

The cost and normal summon makes it too hard to summon, it's easier to normal/special summon Diabellze or Spellcanceller which has a similar effect.

I did directly state this in the same post you quoted. What I mean by "it does nothing" is that there's no activatable effects, like a removal, draw, or negate. Provided that it even survives long enough to have the "Swords of revealing light"-like effect wear off, it then proceeds to do nothing with the rest of the time it remains on the field. It takes a big investment to get on the field so you're unlikely to do much else the turn it's summoned, and it's only doing 100 LP of damage per turn while it's up so you're not killing anyone with it on it's own.
