Master Duel Is a Waste of Time, and It Is Getting Worse

If there is an Idling Game Award, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel will win without any doubt. This game is a waste of time. You can open a new tab and watch an entire short movie before your opponent finishes his turn. This is not a card game. This is a "watch your opponent waste your life" game. No other game demands from you to stay still and do nothing for at least 5 minutes like this one. It is like watching an unskippable cut scene every time you hit play.

For once, a troll actually gave a good reply at the start of the thread. You play cards that interact with the opponent during their turn. If you play enough of them but just didn't draw any, you cry about it and move on. Your opponent won the coin toss and drew good while you drew poorly - guess what, it happens to everybody. It's genuinely sad to see people throwing tantrums over losing to variance in a card game and complaining that they weren't the anime protagonist. And if you can't wait a few minutes to play a strategic 1v1 game, I don't know what to tell you. Lay off the subway surfers maybe?

See, this is the kind of sore loser mindset that makes it difficult to even say anything meaningful. I don't know if you're just being pedantic for the sake of having something to argue about, or if you're too inexperienced of a player to actually see differences between deck lists. Either way it makes it sound like trying to talk any sense into you is just a waste of time.

To be fair, a deck can be bad yet still be completely unfun to play against. In some ways, Flower Cardian combos are even more obnoxious for the fact that they don't end on anything you'd care about.

Unironically just climb higher. Heavy combo decks get worse as people play run more hand traps in higher ranks, so you see them less. Also run more hand trap.

No matter how broken things get, I love how "RuN mOrE hAnD tRaPs" becomes the default excuse rather than blaming Konami for their lack of ability to balance this game properly.

Handtraps was always a banaid to counter powercreep. Its the default answer cause game is how it is. If Stun was meta then you would just have more decks run backrow hate to counter it. Either way you play the game or you dont. Yelling into the void on a Steam forum wont help you.
