Ranked System a pain in the a**
So, I am just a very frustrated player that had a losing streak. The worst part about it is you get severly punished for it once you drop a rank it feels like a downwards spiral if you cant escape that streak. Sure you can say play some meta decks, but even with meta decks, you can brick or get unlucky. Does anyone else feel like that ? I think that the ranked system in master duel is stupid. It should not punish the player that hard. Just allow us to rank back up with the next game being the rank up game to get back to the current rank. I mean other games do that aswell so why not here. These set backs are the worst. Feels like it is designed to disrespect your time. Well maybe I should write this in master duel in one of their surveys.

Last I checked wins=losses. You just gotta win more than you lose.

Really its rather forgiving if not a bit grindy.

It's more an issue with best of 1 than anything else. It means that the natural variance of a card game is far more punishing than elsewhere. It means the coin flip determines the game more than in tcg. It means you need to play a mix of going first and going second cards in any deck, which raises your chances of bricking. And bricking is more heavily punished when you don't get a game 2/3 to make up for it. If all that is not enough, the MD banlist allows far more swingy games with degenerate cards like maxx "C", block dragon, tearlaments kitkallos, spright elf, and fairy tail snow all legal.

Unfortunately, that's the way the game is built so that's just how it has to be accepted. You will get lose streaks that are entirely out of your control, and you will also get free wins handed to you. But if you just keep trying, all you need is a win rate higher than 50% to eventually get there
