RIP Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon

Literally the first thing I thought of when I saw this new event, but its banned. I guess it might be fair to say that its probably too good to go against dark magician decks.

It's not banned it's a DARK monster and you're viewing it from the LIGHT side

I had a pretty good track record against that monster when I was rocking a DM deck. (be it with Piercing the Darkness to provide a nice ATK boost, or by negating CMD's effects and then yeeting him with a destruction effect)

The event demands you only use either light or dark monsters. Thus, Blue-Eyes (Light) cannot play Chaos MAX (Dark). Same idea, Dark Magician (Dark) loses Mahad (Light) and probably other stuff I don't even know about. Event rules, nothing to do with the banlist itself. Means if you want to use Chaos MAX, it'll need to be slotted into Darkworld or some other Dark-attribute deck with easy access to level 8's for the ritual requirements. Searching the Chaos Form spell would be a whole other thing though, since you can't use Manju or Arc Light in a Dark deck either and it was never searchable off of Pre-prep.

On a side note, as a long time Blue-Eyes player I've always found Chaos MAX to be overrated to the MAX. Ritual monsters are inherently clunky and demand the majority of your deck be focused around getting the materials together, you go all in on the one monster that despite having more protection than most ritual monsters is still fairly easy to out, and does nothing to disrupt your opponent beyond being an OTK if they have a zero-defense monster. I'd rather build for fusion into Neo-Ultimate, guarentee the OTK if it resolves, and have backup plays into Rank 8's and Synchros if it doesn't.

Its not banned on the dark banlist tho but DM dont use Chaos Dragon so that does nothing on that part. What DM goes for they lose Mahad, Timaeus and Secret Village and Blue Eyes lose Dictator of D.

Chronicle Magician is banned aswell that gives dmg boost but none of them use that card cause its too bad.

Certain burn cards has also been banned.

Chronicle Magician made for good Rank 7 support imo. Nothing like an easy Turn-1 Diablosis. (or an easy Turn-2 Big Eye)

Chaos Max was always its own thing anyway. You don't need to play it in a blue eyes deck. Barely any advantages to playing Chaos Maxx In a blue eyes deck. Just as many as a Dark Magician Deck. I feel like people have no vision when they say stuff like "DM doesn't play X". Its a deck building game, Dm can play whatever you want. There is even support for Chaos Maxx.

If I can make a full dark Chaos deck then people can make a full dark Chaos Maxx deck.

MAX adds too much brick into the deck. Gonna run fusions with Tyrants. With no access to Linkuriboh, will need ways to get rid of Stone aside from normal summoning it.

Hell, Magician of Chaos can cheat out a Chaos MAX Dragon. (as his effect ignores summoning conditions)

There is Abyss which you can summon with White Stone of Ancients so you can make a Chaos MAX at turn 3 or 4. But now, any time you're summoning Abyss you're not summoning Jet, so even that's questionable. And with Tyrant out, splashing a Chaos Max isn't as big of a power jump as it used to be, so even if you do summon Abyss, a Poly search isn't a worse option.

There's a guy named Lord Blondbeard on YT that does cool short MD replays, his decks are pretty cool.

Remember how Chaos MAX was a meme on Davinator1212's channel? (he's getting married btw). How when he made his first top 10 rituals video, it came out just before Chaos MAX did. Chaos MAX at the time, would've been one of the best rituals in the game.

Years later, he remade the video, and Chaos MAX only got a passing mention in the honorable mentions. XD
