Did people complain as much when Ojamas came out?

I remember the evil Fusion version of Yuuya visibly disliked it the most when he won against that 1v3 (or was it 1v4 I forget).

It was a 1v5, kinda sort a 1v4 cause it was the brothers just working together for one xyz monster. And I wasn't really active in any community around the time Ojamas were released but I doubt it considering how inconsistent and weak they are. Yuri (the character you are talking about) was probably disgusted by it cause well.. Ojama king. Mans is ugly.

The vanilla Ojamas are OLD, like chaos format old. I count it a blessing they wern't able to do much back then, even after they got Ojama King a few sets later. I had just re-entered the game back when the more recent Ojama support came out, and was annoyed that they were building them into sorta-kinda support for the ABC deck I was running at the time. Which really was just collateral because Chaz's deck was all over the place in the Anime.

Ultimately, they were seen as a meme deck along the same lines as Frogs. Main difference is they weren't a LETHAL meme deck until close to a decade after they first showed up, and now they're an option Spright can use to get a wackload of card advantage because the ojama spells are really strong. I will always loathe the gross little gremlin-men.
