How's anybody suppose to even play this game? and don't say get good, or get meta's cause i do all that without buying gems from the game and all that just the way this game run's is unfun mostly surrender's, or someone who take's themselve's out. i mean this game should last more then 2 turn's and have a fun duel otherwise i may just move on to omega cause at this rate this game just keep's going downhill.

I'll just say it sucks to suck.

If you really are unhappy with the state of the game just move on to other games or find ways to play alternate formats if Master Duel isn't for you. Just because it's the most easily accessible doesn't mean it's the only option.

Ok, how about you get bad? Play fun decks and let yourself derank down to silver and gold. Then play fun decks against people also playing what they deem is fun. Fun doesn't mean bad btw, it means what you enjoy. Meta or not it doesn't matter.

If you just don't like surrenders then idk what to say.

I-is omega supposed to be any better? If your dissatisfaction is with how the game plays, then I hate to tell you that omega is going to be even more of the same since it takes 30 seconds to just build a deck card-for-card with a tournament winning list instead of having to grind gems

Modern yugioh.
Even WCS consists of games with mainly 2-3, sometimes 4 turns of ~10 minutes each.

It's getting critizised for nearly a decade now to basically be solitair.

Everything you can do, if you don't like this format, is waiting for rotating events, different formats or simply switching to other YuGiOh or other cardgames alltogether.
All YuGiOh as a TCG franchise is doing rn, is catering to people that are too invested into the game to quit anymore, while completely abandoning all accessability and the wider average audience, for the sake of endlessly powercreeping a small competitive scene, to force them to buy their newest meta-powercreep.

It's really unengaging and annoying to be frank.
I used to play the franchise for about 2 decades at this point, but none of me or any of my friends, TCG nerd or not, is willing to even touch this game without making a harshly restricted custom rules of structure deck cards only without pendulum, XYZ, link, synchro, GY chains for example.
Everyone I ask has throughout positive memories with the franchise in the past, and everyone I ask absolutely hates the game now and wouldn't want to touch it with a stick.

I really hope that YuGiOh is going to reinvent itself from ground up at this point.
While it was way too slow in the beginning, it is the definition of powercreep and general audience-hostility at this point.

No interaction with your oponent except for negatechains, solitair rounds of 15 minutes, no fun to play as or against, neither simple/understandable nor fun to watch someone else play, not accessible for new players or veterans that haven't played the game in the past years.
It's quite the miracle for me that the franchise still exists tbh.
Probably only cause it builds on good memories and nostalgia PR with a huge eco system of anime and fanproducts from the past.

See, now 1337Cammy has some valid points and criticisms. Insulting the community that this game has that are at the very least with the current state of the game isn't the way to go. It's fine to have grievances with the game but if you aren't going to put forth the effort to enjoy it in a way for you then maybe it's, and here's a shocker, NOT the game for you. This game is relatively and I dare say incredibly f2p friendly as long as you are smart and use the proper resources that are free and available to you. Everyone is sick and tired of people coming into the forums to vent and complain and not actually start a conversation.

We get it, today's modern yugioh isn't 'how it used to be.' There are plenty of other ways of enjoying the game and just because Master Duel isn't for you doesn't mean the entirety of the game is at fault. SHOULD Konami put forth the effort to have different formats to cater to more of a demographic, of course; I believe a company should always put forth the effort to make their products more accessible. Is insulting the fanbase going to change anything? It sure as hell isn't. Is complaining that other people aren't playing the game that you want it to be played going to change anything? I can 100% guarantee you it's not cause that's all you are really complaining about. So go and play Omega or like I said find alternative ways to enjoy Yugioh in your own way.

Welp, just like you are enabled to say nothing worth of value on the forums doesn't mean a discussion can't be had that actually has some semblance of actual feedback. You expressed how you felt and I expressed ways to help. Take it or double it and give it to the next person I guess cause at the very least I hope someone may read this to get a better understanding of forum etiquette. And trust me I am struggling financially too but I got more important things to do then mald on an open forum about the state of a game I play casually as I am sure you do too. Also tearlaments isn't the end all be all, there are plenty of other decks that can still stand up to it, you just got to get good improve.
