Let's Play: Favorite Monster Cards

So let's have a little fun, and let's talk about our favorite monster cards, but, to make it a little more fun, let's add some rules to it:
- each person has to name two cards from each type (vanilla, effect, ritual, fusion, synchro, xyz, pendulum* and link)
- in cases where you don't have any favorites, or can't choose, you can put "n/a" (not applicable) or "c/c" (can't choose)
- you can only use "n/a" up to two times and "c/c" up to one time.
- "n/a" and "c/c" apply per card, not card type
* what type of pendulum is doesn't matter, it can be vanilla pendulum , synchro pendulum, etc, it's irrelephant.

Well I have too many favs to list but I'll try and list what comes to mind.

Normal: Mystical elf and Dragon core hexer.
(Like you, I like ME as well. Just something bout blue skinned ladies with blond hair. Helps the she's one of the 1st cards that comes to mind when ever I think of yugigo for some reason. Contrast maybe idk...
Core hexer just looks super cool.)

Effect: Don zaloog and drillroid.
(Cool design and imo one of the most satisfying effects to proc. Drill cute and fun.)

Ritual: BLS and Relinquished. (Epic and iconic)

Fusion: Cyber twin Dragon and Guardian Chimera.
(CTB looks cool and helped me steal games from my opponent in da good ole days. And GC is imo what fusion monsters should've been more like if komoney want players to use back then)

Synchro: Satellite Warrior and Cupid pitch.(SW epic design + effect. Cu pitch searches out my penguin emperor in my penguin deck + I like that she's just a tennis player, idk simplicity jeje.

XYZ: D/D/D (love the epic sounding over the top names)

Pendulum: Both amazoness Golden whip and Silver sword master. (Iconic archetype)

Link: Master King Archfiend and Vampire Sucker (MKA awesome design with high potential effect and one of favorite archtypes. VS one of my fave monster type in one of my fav archetypes, vampire.

Yeah I love her little storyline and would absolutely love if they explored it more in depth and fleshed it out into a full archetype with dragons and villagers and her gradual decline. She's just an awesome card that could easily get her own self contained archetype if Konami felt like it.

Also she just looks great if that wasn't obvious.

Would def be some weird pendulum + synchro deck cuz of her other card.

Another thing I'd wish they do is make a unexpected dai card but for high lvl normal mobs. Wouldn't be too bad sinse she's a tuner or even just a high lvl body. I'd put her in decks she has no business in lol.

Another thing I'd wish they do is make a unexpected dai card but for high lvl normal mobs. Wouldn't be too bad sinse she's a tuner or even just a high lvl body. I'd put her in decks she has no business in lol.

I already randomly work her into my chaos decks. As a Lv8 Normal Dark Dragon she fits with a lot of the stuff made for things like blue eyes. Trade in, that foolish for dragons that sends a normal too. If she had her own little archetype that focused on helping her shine she could be really fun.

By my reckoning she needs-

A 9 Pend to go with Dragon Horn Hunter who is a 3 pend. This gives you 4-8 pend summoning.
A custom lv12 Synchro boss monster. 8+4=12 So works with her scales.
A custom Lv10 Synchro boss monster. Horn Hunter is 6 so 6+4 is 10, though you could easily just make something generic or chaos angel.
A lv4 that could count as a tuner if used with Horn Hunter but not be a tuner so it works with Hexer.

Optional
Some resource loop stuff to search and recycle her. The pend cards already have that but she's just a normal card. Maybe a card that banishes itself from grave/hand/etc to find her or have her lv4 search or summon a copy. Honestly optional because she's almost perfect for searchers already with the one exception being her statline not matching blue eyes. Still normal monster support has quite a few gems.

Maybe I would keep her main deck as normal pend/tuners monsters so you could benefit from normal support while having her Synchro's protect your field and stuff like how Chaos Angel works in chaos. Maybe make it normal monster specific so you can field an army of normal pends every turn.

Yous asking the wrong dude since I've never played pen deck haha. I do like the idea of keeping her other mobs normal to be able to abuse the normal mob support sinse I've wanted a excuse to use em since heart of the underdog. And now that you mention the blue eyes stuff, my curiosity is peaked. But if it were me, I'd make super busted. Considering what's out there, I wouldn't blink twice on pulling the trigger too make this archtypes over the top busted. If I ever feel like climbing, might as well be with something I like the look of lol.

I just want a unexpected dai card at least tho, so I could use it like the way I used to use instant fusion to get the free lvl 5 tuner on field, Sea monster of something was the cards name if not mistaken. Although unlike that card, she'd be a garnet. But aye, free high lvl tuner atleast.

Agreed the unexpected dai could literally just be for high level normals without breaking stuff since no one cares about normals. You know outside decks that almost never make a splash like DM and Blue Eyes.

As for the pend stuff, I just know I made a normalcy deck with her and its almost fun. Only problem is that she doesn't fit into normal pend scales and like I said there is no generic 12 you can make thats worth it. Final Sigma just doesn't do enough.

Agreed the unexpected dai could literally just be for high level normals without breaking stuff since no one cares about normals. You know outside decks that almost never make a splash like DM and Blue Eyes.

As for the pend stuff, I just know I made a normalcy deck with her and its almost fun. Only problem is that she doesn't fit into normal pend scales and like I said there is no generic 12 you can make thats worth it. Final Sigma just doesn't do enough.

I was thinking I could just use it to make a baron in my tier 10 and up decks that run level 2s or help make rank 8s. Heck even just free body for links or at minimum, just a body haha. Cards like Dai helps these weak deck a lot. Gives em some much needed oophm.

Agreed. For instance using Dai you can go into a tuner or a non-tuner just by including them in the deck. Which is actually pretty helpful when you wanna do a bunch of synchro plays but low rank xyzs also work especially if you are doing lv4 stuff.
