Proficiency Test Answers.
Got 12 out of 15 at this bothers me to no end because I cannot tell where I messed up.

These are my answers:
-When Going First, you cannot enter the Battle Phase on your first turn.
-The Extra Deck can be anywhere between 0 and 15 cards.
-When Link Summoning a monster to the Main Monster Zone, you can only Summon it to a Main Monster Zone that another Link Monster's Link Arrows point to on your field.
-The effect of "Dynatherium" that you activated, which allows your opponent to choose a Level 4 monster from either player's Graveyard and Special Summon it to their field.

-You choose which effect to activate and resolve first, then the other effect activates and resolves.
I could have this one wrong but my reasoning is that both effects are optional due to the phrase "You can"

If you use "Gunkan Suship Shari Red" and "Gunkan Suship Uni" as materials to Xyz Summon "Gunkan Suship Uni-class Super-Dreadnought", you cannot apply the effect of "●'Gunkan Suship Shari': Draw 1 card."
It does not count because Shari Red had become a Material at this point, I could be wrong.

While it is Special Summoned to a Monster Zone, it cannot be the target of the effect of "Tornado."
Not longer in the S/T zone.

-The "Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon" that exists face-up in your Extra Deck.
-Reveal the opponent's hand in the Replay.

-Number of remaining Normal Summons your opponent can make this turn.
-Laundry Dragonmaid (why is this even a question?)
-"Salamangreat Gazelle" is an Unlimited card.
-Activation Order Settings
-Cards that can be Summoned from your hand will have glowing blue edges.
-The contents of your opponent's cards that are banished face-down.

So where did I mess up?

I'll update this one as I go. I got 14 out of 15 and I'm not sure which one I missed myself, but I can state this at least (albeit take it with a grain of salt for the aforementioned reason, I did test these two afterwards in a sim however to make sure I had the right idea):

-For the Exosister one, Thrill Train has you set the card from your GY, the opponent just chooses which one you set, so it does not trigger Elis.

-For the Suship one, Shari Red can indeed be used for the draw effect with Uni-class, I believe the correct answer is that three copies of Shari and Shari Red each can be included.

Q4: Thrill Train. It's an Exosister YOU control; Thrill Train only allows your opponent to decide which one to set on your field.

Q6: You can have 3 Gunship Shari + 3 Gunship Shari Red in your main deck.

Q10: The "i" icon does NOT reveal set cards in your opponent's field (though it would be pretty funny/toxic as a duel room option).

Q13: Activation Confirmation. The question is asking how you can activate a card upon the resolution of a chain.

That's the one I missed, it turns out. Thanks!

TY. I misread the Gunship one, I thought it said you can't have and I thought Red did not count when it turns into material and it shouldn't but I was not playing during XYZ era so I am not familiar with the rulings.

Q13 was worded really oddly.

That happens when you're translating something that the English version never bothered clarifying. (That's one of the things even the biggest haters admit the OCG does right: having a central database for rules shenanigans like this instead of basically leaving it all up to the judges)

You can see the remaining normal summons, the correct answer is: Information about a card Set in your opponent's field.

To truly become a proficient YuGiOh player, you need to get all of the answers correct without reading the card effects.
Get it? Because YGO players don't read card effects.

But it is pretty neat how people have been answering incorrectly because they've been reading the questions wrong. Since there are occasionally threads popping up here citing issues that stem from people misreading cards.

I wonder if YGO is difficult for people to read/understand, or if it just attracts people that have difficulty reading/understanding.

Thanks for the answer explanations here BTW~

A little bit of both; certain situations legitimately need the rules to be as convoluted as they are in order to be resolved by said rules at all, but there's also the fact that nobody ever read their opponents' cards in the anime until ARC-V and even that only happened once.

Which stands for Know Yourself...in minecraft.

You do understand YGO rulings are incredibly confusing and even if you watch pros play they often make mistakes assuming cards work in ways the don't, the term "accepted board state" exists for a reason.

The font is also f* tiny and YGO refuses to use icons and keywords to resume text despite that the videogames did so.
