Why does Spellbound Exist.
Seems like a card that has to now go into every single deck, it literally stops the other person from having a turn, if you draw it going first you just win basically, what a dumb card, I'll take 3 thank you, COIN FLIP SIMULATOR! LET'S GO!

Labrynth deck: "Oh that is cute card. What is that doing to me?"

The card is terrible and has never been played competitively, don't worry.

Well it should exist cause dimensional barrier doesn't include link summons and of course they wouldn't take the easy way, by just adding one word. In any case Spellbound acts like a trap in most cases, since the amount of times you' ll actually need to use it on your turn is minimal. If it was a handtrap though, then we would have a problem.

It only affects cards currently on the field, so it's pretty much a worse Warning Point.

Heard of dimensional barrier?

Sure Sure & I've heard of Gnomaterial too which might be the better version since it's faster as a handtrap. any of these cards used on the right combo card can stunlock most decks that can't special summon 4 monsters in one turn.

Yes your right this is just another flavor of that type of card effect however the potential is there to be very toxic, if it was more searchable then I'd like it a bit more but it's still a decent turn lock.

Warning Point just seems broken too.

lmao it's a terrible card

It's not the great. It's pretty much useless going second. It might be alright going first in certain formats, but it won't see any play in general.

SpellBound its exactly the same as Gnomaterial but in Quick Spell version instead of Hand Trap....
Merilirem May 12, 2023 @ 6:44am
Because it was made. Plenty of cards never did what they had been made to do. Entire archetypes infact.
Candarian May 12, 2023 @ 6:53am
there even is a monster that let the opponent skip his/her turn (and do that every turn - ok the conditions are a bit tricky but still possible)
lets not talk about balancing in this game
its futile
