Failure No Licences when launching Master Duel

Hi all, when attempting to launch Master Duel on my PC the game immediately crashes with no error message. When trying to run it as an administrator it still crashes but pops up with an error message “no licences”. I have tried verifying the install, reinstalling the game including to a different drive, removing the game from my library and re-adding it, reinstalling steam and even recently did a full drive wipe and reset on my PC including a full clean windows install with no luck. Other games work and it’s definitely not a driver issue, I can still run the game on other devices just not my home PC. Im at wits end with this one, any suggestions?

Here's a reddit thread where a guy had this exact issue. OP says that logging out of steam and logging back in worked. Another guy restarted his router and it fixed the issue.

Ill give the router restart a try later today and update the thread. Logging in and out of steam didn't work.

No luck, restarting the router didn't help.

Nope. Got it running on a windows emulator on mac through so I can still play it through steam. Still no luck on my dedicated windows gaming pc 😂

Update, after close to a year of trying every few days to randomly boot the game up it just starting working today. Can't explain it and didn't do anything different, good luck out there to anyone else having the same issue.
