Ritual Festival just nouvelle

Ok I need to hear other people's experiences cause I have been playing the ritual festival almost everyday since it opened yet I have legitimately only seen the structure decks as the ritual decks played consistently and even then its a majority nouvelle. There a ton of ritual decks in the game yet for some reason I can count the number of times that I run into a ritual deck that isn't nouvelle on my hands. Seriously why are so many people so lazy and just playing things like rescue ace? And in the event that I do encounter a different ritual deck, I can clearly see it has been copy and pasted from somewhere cause its the exact same decklist that I played against before.

Because Ritual is trash, that's why.

Wery few people actually have ritual decks to use, so the vast majority either go for the burger loaner, or play something they have that still works.

I've gone up against a lot of people playing DM and Blue Eyes with the ritual cards thrown in. Also gone up against Drytron, Vandread and Libromancer. Had some mirror matches with Mikanko. Then there's those fine people playing ritual piles that go first and skip your MP1 and MP2, effectively skipping your turn.

Also remember that with how few extra deck options there is, things like Dogmatica ritual isn't being played.

What ritual decks are you wanting to see that you aren't?

It's not really "Ritual pile", it's more like Megalith Drytron, because the only thing that's not normally used in that type of deck used in that pseudo FTK is Amarphactor Pain.

I played that too to get my 20 Ritual summons because that deck takes 0 URs.

I've had it done to me twice so far. Both had Megalith. I think one was Impcantation/Megalith(I don't remember if it had a third type thrown in, but it definitely did not have any Drytron). The other was indeed Drytron/Megalith.

As others have pointed out, Rituals are a very unpopular summoning mechanic, for good reason. The novelty of nouvelle mixed with how actually good it is compared to it's peers is one of the reasons why it's mainly played in this event cause I can almost guarantee you, besides myself and maybe a handful of other individuals, not many are going to be running this deck on the ladder. I just like to play it cause ha ha funny burger deck. And if you see people playing things like Rescue Ace it could be they have built the deck and just want to use it in a format that's a lower powered one compared to the standard one as it's enjoyable for them. There are numerous amount of reasons that I'd be here all night listing but the point is, people want gems, loaner nouve is pretty good (12 wins and 2 loses for me so I can at least vouch for it) and if people can get easy gems without spending them on a deck they aren't going to use outside of an event, more power to them.

The simple answer is ritual monsters have a bad track record most of us do not have a deck and megalith the budget option is less appealing than just playing funny burger deck

Edit: For example I play a ritual deck but I don't have enough to play it pure I play Gishki Spright

Only once have i seen someone play a ruin demise deck this event, but he bricked :(

for me I'd say blue eyes was the most popular deck, ran into some dark magician, mikano, drytron, nouvelle, couple of megalith, prediction princess, and I think that was it for me?

With that said, how many ritual decks do you have? I've been playing since day 1 and I don't think I've even ritual summoned 1 monster, it ain't my fault that I gotta pick and choose through hundreds of archetypes to make decks, I ain't rich, can't be spending money out here haha.

It's just Nouvelle or Blue-Eyes which isn't surprising since who wants to invest gems on a Ritual deck just for a garbage event, you're better off investing in Sacred Beast and playing the next gimmick event with them

It doesn't help that they have also gimped some ritual decks like Nekroz and Dogmatika. Unless you have a ritual deck already made before the Festival that is legal, I doubt anyone will actually play Ritual outside Loaner Decks. At most, people will just go pick up the Dark Magician structure deck if they haven't already and just play that.

I think this summarizes this event in a nutshell: They banned Titanikald, not Fallen of Albaz.

Faced Chaos Max with monster switch spell card so I got his 0 defence monster he then could bang into for 8k dmg. Funny I actually had that deck build half year ago but ended up decrafing it cause it felt too bricky.

I guess most people dont have a ritual deck for the event, I normally play with dogmatika as my ritual deck but since extra deck was nerfed it was very bad, so the next best thing is the nouvelle deck that as far as I hear counters blue eyes and mikanko so that is why so many people are using it (including me).

also there arent that many ritual deck to be honest.
