lightsworn decks need a hamering for this event

Lightsworn not being played as a pile is a waste of its potential even in this event Enlightenment dragon still doesn't cut it tbh if someone forced me to play it i'd probably be going second on purpose.

edit: just to clarify, my pure version DOES work, but only if it goes first. It has NEVER won going second.

Aware yet given your list and a gun to my head I would still pick 2nd i'd rather hope for some high rolls on mills than end on Enlightenment pass but you must be able to find something better than the JD trap no luminas at all? how are you even making the 7?

I get that Q_Q it wasn't a pleasant week. I had lumina but she didn't actually do much for the deck compared to gareth's draws (although admittedly having less than 12 cards in my deck at the end of turn one is usually worrisome.

As far as Michael goes...I don't. He's there just because he's a lightsworn and counts. I don't use Curious either. Minerva (both), and enlightenment are my big players. I always have the trap down too because...I usually do get down to the 12 cards left :S

Theres the thing Minvera the exalted is actually good going 2nd first off she mills which is great draw cards too good but its her 2nd effect that I wish I saw more of these people trying to use If this card is destroyed by battle, or if this card in its owner's possession is destroyed by an opponent's card effect: You can send the top 3 cards of your Deck to the GY, then you can destroy cards on the field up to the number of "Lightsworn" cards sent to the GY by this effect. especially when your playing the decks this Lightsworn heavy you basically garentee 2 non target pops at least

Good in theory, maybe in a deck not as pure as mine. The issue is if I go second I can't even get a chance to make Minerva. I want you to realize, I played the hell out of the deck, I'm not speculating about it being bad going 2nd, it just is, even with cards that theoretically are fine with going second. If you want to be theoretical, it truly should be a going 2nd deck because it wants to otk fast and hard. My version...just doesn't do that :S

I am playing zombies in this event. It works i am halfway there with the medals. But not against Lightsworn They play through everything. Someone mentioned that Lightsworn going second hurts them and a few negates can shut them down? not my experience. My zombie deck does not have an omni negate board but a few negates it does have.
