Makes it a thousand times worse when I think for sixty seconds straight, instantly misplay because I wasn't paying attention, and then scoop.
Or, hear me out... I DON'T waste money making a rich-ass company even richer. You do know that you don't HAVE to buy ♥♥♥♥, right?
Besides, when Komoney doesn't even care about the health of the game and keeps printing absolutely asinine cards, anyone with half a brain has not only the right, but the OBLIGATION of pointing out they're the bad guys. There's a reason why Yu-Gi-Oh is in a death spiral.
Whenever my opponent misplays catastrophically, I just assume they're like me and play 30 different decks. You simply cannot keep the flowchart of that many decks in your mind at once, so a few calibration games are always needed to shake of the rust when you change archetypes.
Wow that joke actually managed to go over your head
I ping-pong around between a bunch of different decks, from plants (Aroma/ Rikka/ that one weird deck with a mashup of a bunch of archetypes), to Archfiends, to Nemleria, to Endymion (my favorite deck), to Darklords, to Majespecter, to World Chalice, to a weird-ass homebrew Amazement Dark Magician monstrosity that honestly doesn't deserve to win a single game but sometimes does. What I DO NOT play are archetypes like Tear or Azamina that simply NEVER go negative and eternally recycle their garbage at zero cost, because I'm not a psycho who wants to cause suffering to my opponents.
It helps a lot.
Yes you do. Go into your bathroom and count how many products are Proctor and Gamble. Or look up how many things you watch or support that are owned by Disney. You know its almost impossible to boycott a corporation because they have either a parent or subsidiary that will be providing something you want and/or need?
Your "Hear me out" is shallow here. You're throwing your money at big corporations some how, the difference is choosing what brings you the most joy or the least sorrow. At the end of the day you might say you don't want to support konami, but your statement is amazingly broad.
LMAO, ['murican "don't assume everyone is also living in 'murica", challenge level impossible]. I guess they got you bad with the consumerist propaganda, huh?
"Go into your bathroom and count how many products are Proctor and Gamble."
I'd hazard the guess 0. Besides, I can buy soap produced locally, so that leaves like 5 things TOTAL that are essential products. You seriously think I can't select from more than one company?
"Or look up how many things you watch or support that are owned by Disney."
Literally ZERO.
I'm thinking maybe you just want to offload the responsibility of not supporting these bad practices from yourself onto social circumstances despite having more than sufficient leeway to act morally. Either way, I don't understand how that changes the fact that;
Konami has bad practices -> I don't give them money
It's not like you're wrong about konami being a terrible company and not caring about its game, but stating it in such a self-entitled way and using an argument that fell apart a decade ago really isn't doing you any favors. And you kind of chose a bad time to do it, considering the TCG actually just got an improvement to prize support that professionals have been asking to see for countless years now. Any other time and you'd have a lot more supporters coming in to circlejerk with anybody who says konami bad
This is why ignorance is a sin. Instead of "knowing" I suggest you double check. This isn't an American exclusive issue. I notice Hiragana in your name. Although I doubt you are from Japan, if you consume ANY anime or any Japanese merchandise...you're supporting Disney.
But I'll leave it at that. Instead of trying to read into my 'offloading' I think you should rather look into what actually is the reality of the entire world.
Edit: I forgot, Konami itself is related to Disney.
Imagine thinking that a dying game suddenly poofs out of existence, instead of slowly bleeding out players until only the wales remain... Also, "hurr durr, the game has been ♥♥♥♥ for a long time so it obviously can't be ♥♥♥♥ now!" isn't a great argument.
Disney is MASSIVE in Japan. They practically own it. If you look at the edit, they are involved with Konami. They have stores, and shows, and channels and animation studies, that's all the normal ones people think about, but they also are responsible for gaming distribution, restaurants, and varying pleasure hotels. Japan is one of Disney's biggest cash cows, but its not obvious because of the subsidiaries.
As OP doesn't seem to be aware of, his 'murica' comment stems for not knowing just how deep corporate pockets are. Google is able to pay its monopoly fines and if push ever really comes to shove, will locate outside the US. The only place google doesn't touch is China. There is so many other examples like the P&G example I give.
edit: Since you seem genuinely interested, here is some basic notable examples that pop up right away that are associated with Disney, but for the more obscure ones I listed you have to dig deeper.
Notable connections include Oriental Land Company (OLC) (operator of Tokyo Disney Resort), NYK Line, which is partnering with OLC for a new Disney cruise ship in Japan, and Nippon TV Holdings (parent company of Nippon TV), which collaborated with Disney on content co-production, says a press release from the company. Additionally, Disney has partnered with Japanese animation studios like Toei Animation, Madhouse, and Jinni's Animation Studios for animated film production
