I share Krispies' setiment.

It's fine. It at least mills a decent amount of monsters.
Caesar is a guaranteed interruption, and one of the strongest kinds in the game at that. Pilgrim reaper is a gamble whether it even benefits you more than the opponent. I have lost track of the amount of times my opponent had a board I would not have been able to out, and then they threw the game by making pilgrim reaper or zombie vampire

Sadly, some people just want to let it ride.
Pilgrim Reaper is the best option for trying to turn Engraver into engine for GY oriented decks. Unlike Beatrice, he's not strong enough to just be your go-to make in GY decks though, so you should run it alongside either Desirae or Caesar, preferably both if your ED has the space.
The closest thing to a replacement for Beatrice in anything is Curious, the Lightsworn Dominion. If you don't understand why that's the case, you don't understand what Beatrice was actually doing.

That said both are close but not the same. People who want specific sends will want Curious. People who just need a new rank 6 will prefer Pilgrim Reaper. Because not every deck can just make curious.
