That's how you lose games to that more often, you can't deal with the board the first turns because of the field spell or interruptions, and then with enough materials nothing short a kaiju can deal with the unaffected monsters that steal your cards until they get enough material to OTK.
It is fairly reliant on knowing the correct way to chain effects and knowing what is the last possible window to get the quick play spells out. I'd wager that is why the deck isn't as popular as it is actually able to go against the best decks.

How ironic the water attribute is named Beauty, okay now somebody go over to Reddit and type out an entire Vaporeon meme but instead use Beauty
