Yes, I thought it was that, but I realize it wasn't when I saw my oppnenent not being able to activate his effects with the "elder entity N'tss" without I activating anything to stop. Again, this is just an example, but I see this quite often. It's not restricted to a specific card
As an example, certain effects miss timing not simply by bad text(the "when" vs "if" wording that screws a lot of cards over), but by the chain of effect resolution. If a card is moved to the GY during a chain and it would be able to activate it's effect as a result, if by the end of the same chain resolution that effect would no longer be valid, the game would simply not give you any prompt.
While possibly unrelated to your case , you should also change activation confirmation to "switch".
you might prefer different settings, but undoubtedly, the default settings in MD are crap and players need to adjust them.
But this would be necessary if much more people have had the same problem. As it doesn't to be the case, all good! But it's still weird
