So apparently, there are cheaters in Master Duel
In the "DUELIST CUP" ranking announcement by Konami, there is a part where they talk about possible cheating and banning accounts with suspicious activities. I wonder what is that about and how many of us have been cheated. I hope it was not that rampant.

It's either some of the top players using auto scripts to play their deck or getting a third party involved to play on their account, either way it's mostly just the high up players that are suspected of cheating

And people said 1 year ago that MD was free of cheaters and exploites. Guess they were wrong.

They've said this various times in the past, I'm pretty sure it's just a generic message they include on the high profile announcements. They haven't ever acknowledged any form of cheating since the launch weeks, just this kind of "warning shot"

Not surprise. There was a suspected case of cheating in WCS this year yet no official statement to dismiss or acknowledge the cheat. If WCS can possibly happen, so what about DC?

huh? dkayed leaked all lists to everyone so that there wouldnt be parties that would have a massive advantage over the competition. There was no talk about measures to deal with this (huge) problem though. Was there even more?

For me its not a question wether there are cheaters or not, the amount is important though.
If its just a few then its not really an issue, unless of course it happens in the WCS or final rounds of a DC.

None of the regulars here has ever outright said this. Granted I wasn't even playing a year ago at all, but this game has never been completely free of either cheaters or bots. Both have been a problem and will continue to be a problem for the foreseeable future.

The only things people have called out r the frequency that some people claim to experience. Y? Because its obvious they are lying. Like that post by Nilark. I'll link it in a sec. U even called it out yourself.

If there were anybody saying what u suggested above, they were just new players that didn't & weren't going to stick around anyway. Or it could have been those 2 trolls who aren't currently around, but I doubt it. Its not something they would normally say, though Garbage would say anything depending on his mood & how much he specifically wanted to argue with me.

There were definitely people cheating in that cup. To the normal player it can go unnoticed but there are definitely sussy accounts playing. I'm surprised they finally are doing something about it considering how many people have been pointing this out to them even with video evidence for quite awhile. What steps they take should be interesting considering DC is an important event.

The only confirmed DC cheater was that guy who turned off crossplay and farmed the really bad Xbox user base. We only had real cheats in the beginning of Master Duel with auto-dc if lose coinflip and players with invalid decks and cards. It's more likely that any cheats in the DC are breaks of ToS.

Honestly G3, I have also run into that disconnect cheat. Where ur game freezes for like 20 to 30 seconds then suddenly it disconnects and claims u were "defeated". Granted its only happened 3 times in my 270+ hours, so yes it is incredibly rare.

I am fairly certain I have run into the cheaters who run that software that lets them see ur hand as well, though I am less confident in this one. Just a few times they seemed to play a little too well is all.

I've seen talk of this from time to time and have no doubt it's possible if kept private enough, but have yet to ever see it. Considering all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ my opponents do that doesn't help them, eventually stumbling into something that does help them is inevitable. If it's not happening often enough to fall outside the monkeys on typewriters scenario, is it even worth questioning if they're cheating?

I'm sure most of not every regular here understands that the absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence when it comes to cheating. The issue is that when people say this, there's never any proof of their claims other than speculation and "just trust me bro I can tell." I am far more willing to believe people have bad Internet connections and or are just salty; then I am that this game is at the very least rampant with people cheating. But again, that's not to say that it's not a possibility and that those who do aren't be caught and punished.

I'd be remiss to call disabling cross play (a feature in the game) as a "cheat" but if people want to I guess they can. An exploit maybe, but definitely not a cheat.

That's also not the only confirmed DC "cheater" (quotes due to disagreement on the term). There was a few cups ago someone who was able to prevent disconnecting from timers. Video went around that was them waiting with no interactions for literally like 8 hours as a time lapse. That was DEFINITELY a cheat of some kind. I'm pretty sure that cup was the first time we got a message from Konami about "adjusting the tally to account for illegal activities" or whatever after the video made its way around.

Yes, I wasn't referring to that. To save you some time searching, it was posted on reddit around the time WCS is ongoing.

im the kind of guy that searches first and then asks. my search was fruitless, now after another 10 minutes, its still fruitless. but i dont want you to search it for me, its apparently not easy to find. it was just out of curiousity anyway.

The key word is 'Qualification transfer'. Just to remind again, suspect of cheating.
