Merry Christmas fellow duelists. With the year wrapping up I want to ask a very simple question. In the future, hopefully in the next year, what mate would YOU like to see get added to the game?

I'm 100% content with my unchained abomination mate but I wouldn't say no to any one of the Mayakashi (preferably Yoko the graceful) synchro monsters.

As a Mikanko player, I want Arahime as mate since she won't be used in the deck ever.

As a Chaos player I would love any Chaos card. Chaos Maxx doesn't count as its more of a blue eyes card and chaos ritual isn't really defined yet.

Preferably Chaos Emperor Dragon as its the most iconic. BLS is also iconic but there is more wiggle room that is less chaos. The ritual BLS for instance wouldn't be very chaos, despite having strong ties. I would still enjoy it.

I could also go for some oldschool cards like Summoned Skill and Red Eyes. No idea why we don't have those as mates yet.

Also why are there no "Waifu" mates? Have you noticed? They don't want to give us any for some reason. Closest is Laundry Dragonmaid. She's too cute to be a proper waifu though. Just a lil girl.

You would think they would give people Sky Striker or Dark Magician Girl mates.

Ok but WHICH Silent Magician? There are a few after all and they are slightly different, or a lot. You a Lv8 fan? You looking for a Waifu or a lil cheerleader?

Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon,

out of all the cards you can pull from the archetype this one has arguably the most potential for the role. Unlike many other ones people actually play it (and not as a "necessary evil" either). In addition to it being already one of the best looking cards the archetype has to offer the fire on the exhausts and the tail would make for great effects to add to it.

Took me a second to search it up and remember what Flare Metal was. I am surprised someone likes it so much they would suggest it become a mate. Though I suppose it IS one of the few pure Red Eyes cards that is playable. Still, I would place it at most at 3. 1 being Vanilla and 2 being Baby. 4 being Chick. After that its the fusions which are cooler but not really Red Eyes due to mixing archetypes or Meteor being less iconic-ally Red Eyes.

Nah, the vanilla looks to plain (same with Blue-Eyes but they already have a better alternative) and the baby looks to cutesy which clashes with the easetic of the Deck.

I see Flare metal plenty, I play Red Eyes plenty, its just never been a big deal when I play red eyes, Most times I see Flare metal its being used generically for some nonsense. When I think of Red Eyes I don't think of its one random rank 7 it has. Maybe they should do more XYZ styff. Black cards look good on Red Eyes.

As for Red Eyes being too plain, well that's a take I guess. I suppose you don't have much love for the more simplistic designs that made the OG dragons icons. Me, I like the originals. Flare doesn't even look right. Its like its standing up like a Kangaroo.
