doubt, my opponent has 3 monsters with effect on the field, I activate forbidden droplets and send 2 monsters to the graveyard, he chains Tyrant's Tirade, and remains with 1 monster, when he resolves forbidden droplets can I choose the monster remaining on the field or does the effect of forbidden droplets disappear since I have to choose 2 monsters?

The effect disappears because you have to choose 2 monsters. Based on the wording of "choose that many", it's an interesting way to play around that card.

ok, maybe a more complex situation, if the opponent has 2 monsters, I send 2 monsters with droplets and he chains a card that face-down only 1 monster, now at resolution he has 2 monsters, but since 1 monster is face-down I can choose them both and drops only negates the face-up monster or even in this case does the effect disappear?

The text on Forbidden Droplet specifies 2 effect monsters, so if one card were to be flipped down in response to it, it's no longer an effect monster that can be chosen since it's now set so the effect will fizzle.

The key information is the difference between choosing and targeting. When you are targeting something, you select which monsters upon activation or in other words which cards will be specifically affected. When you choose, you, the player select upon resolution. Does this help or do I need to clarify a little more?

If for any reason the number of face up effect monsters is less than the cards sent for droplet it will not resolve.

This doesn't really come up terribly often but I abused it alot in VFD format because people really aren't sending traps often for it.
