Console games have local
I should really check the board when more of it's titles get pvp. I want to see complaints about players custom 2k attackers, losing big monsters to star signs, getting smacked by Megamorph Ultimate Dragons and, pre-errata GOAT format cards. At least everyone will have access to Crush Card Virus in those formats. Unlike back then in paper.
I mean sitting and waiting 30 mins to farm resources while sitting on Pumking isn't really a unique mechanic
Apparently because I have no idea what you're talking about now
DDM is played off tournament cups with random opponents, you play with the monsters you select from your monster pool, and Pumking is 1 of the best monsters especially in early game when it has a DEF value of 30 on top of an effect that reduces the ATK of the attacking monster by 30 cutting out most ways of outing it provided you have the resources you have to farm for cause it's rng dice resource gimmick
The game I'm talking about, Dungeon Duel Monsters, is an indie project that uses Duelingbook as a dueling engine. It's had some coverage by Yugitubers (especially MBT), but the general gist of it is that you and a buddy both load up the same campaign and run a series of matches against each other while unlocking new cards and items along the way with a general theme/card pool/progression style.
It's a fun time, but admittedly it's not a game that's well-suited to just booting up and playing against random people.
Not me, other people, so Konami releases a collection with the GOOD games.
Probably selling better on the switch where it comes with a quarter century rare Harpie's Feather duster card.
I do intend to buy it eventually, I'm primarily an old school gamer and loved my taste of 2004 YGO with the recent event so the titles look super fun, I'm just waiting for a good sale.
But judging by how it's taken the Castlevania collections years each to go on a decent sale* those with less patience or who want to more actively support future YGO collections should just bite the bullet now.
*I'm talking 2 or 3 years before they go to 45% off. I still haven't bought those Castlevania collection since I still have the physical copies of the games, but I should to support future releases. As I keep hoping Konami will release the N64, PS1 and PS2 games (and Rondo of Blood from the PC-Engine / PSP) in collections now that they've ported all the "easy" to collect and port games. Because I know one of these days in the not too distant future the laser on my PS/PS2 is gonna die. Or I'm gonna lose those games to disc rot and my N64 is gonna crap out.
I just love how they blue balled us. It's not like fans haven't been asking for a release of all their games on PC, for years now.
I mean really, they could just release all the old games, give them online functionality and leave master duel as the bleeding edge competitive version.
