True Draco vs. Branded is my new favorite match up.

The fun of old decks getting new life with support or getting their teeth back is experiencing new match ups.

I'm currently romping around Platinum 2. Seeing a lot of Branded and White Forest Centur-ion. While going first is always the same. Hold them down with a floodgate or 2. Going second has been a real grind game.

Every match goes to 10+ turns. True Draco s/t forcing responses. That board negate trap card from Branded giving them gaps to play again. Both of us chump blocking when our boards get cracked. Both of us rebuilding.

But, the problems happen when Chaos Angel and Master Peace hit the board. It's a stalemate until either of us "draw the out". TD Apocalypse keeps Angel from being a threat to Master Peace but, I can't pop or beat over it. Their only response is to wall up and try and deck me out. ATM. I've been trying to Skill Drain them while trying to bait Barrone and Dis Pater so they can't negate SD and Erupt to break through.

These matches have been real fun for me. Win or lose.

Sounds like it could be one of my "One bad day" type of decks.

I wouldn't put it along side the lazy stun decks that just try and make the opponent DC like "One Bad Day". You need your opponent to at least try to play to build your advantage.

And the closest deck that I run on occasion that is lazy like that is my Ice Barrier deck. That one is certainly my main OBD deck.

Been messing around with true draco myself and I can barely climb out of gold with it because I can't win the coin flip. I crafted 3 master peace for it and everything. Lost every coin flip and the two times I won it I got hit with back row removal and didn't draw solemn. I'll probably switch to something that doesn't lose as hard going second and swap back to it later.

Let me tell you wHHAAAT, There is nothing funny about that deck.
Whoever originally made that list has a medical disorder.

True Draco is a deck from before the advent of Evenly Matched. Also, at the time it was legal. Both Duster and Heavy were still banned. This deck always lost to backrow removal. Even Typhoon was being played along side Ghost Ogre to stop the s/t from resolving. The backrow don't trigger when banished. Cosmic Cyclone was very good against the deck as well. With only 1 Amano-Iwato to play. Maxx "C" is the only card left to let play going second. What the play was summon Amano. Then, use the spells to tribute summon the Dracos out. The s/t triggers go almost uncontested because of Amano. Clearing the way for you punch over the rest. Also, we only played 2 Master Peace. Majesty Maiden was the 3rd copy of each of the other Dracos. Drawing 2 or more Peaces clogged the hands.

Back in my day we had Imperial Order to play as well. Launch of Master Duel even gave us Kaiser Coliseum. This list mostly the same as it was in 2018.
