literally 100% of my games in duelist cup are vs floodgate turbo

mostly runick draw 3 set 5 floodgates pass

but i had a match vs a hero player and they ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Dark angel (aka imperial order)'d me.

Floodgates are strong. Its only natural that competitive modes include a bunch of floodgate decks. Runick is also super new so of course they will be played a bunch.

Personally I am surprised how banish heavy this Meta currently is. I am actually testing out Metaphys cards right now just because of how much my cards are being banished.

im just malding that every single time i go 2nd it's either runick or one of the gimmicky floodgate monster locks (IFO, Gimmick puppet, Ra's Disciple, Dark Angel) without fail.

I just played against a Runick deck that got lucky and turn 1 drew cyber stein and skill drain...
Turn 2: Looks at board of Skill Drain, Runick Fountain, and Naturia Exterio. Literally every on-field effect has been turned off. I am eternally sad that Exterio's effect isn't once per chain.

Yeah thats a tough one. You gotta have traps or grave effects to push through that. You can also counter mill them which is what I try to do most of the time.

What they meant was that Konami has failed to ban floodgates. People who put winning above all else will therefore use them until and unless that stops being true.
