De-rank
Is there a way to drop a rank or tier? I'm playing causally and I don't want to climb up anymore. I fear that, at higher tier, I need to play more matches in order to have a win to finish the daily mission. I'm quite happy with current rank, 50-50, win and lost ratio, quite balance and stress free.

You cannot drop to a different tier

Aka You can't drop from platinum to gold, or gold to silver, so on and so forth.

Yeap, either you stay Gold or Plat. (not that worthwhile to stay Silver IMO)

Also worth noting that if you are going to go for plat then go for plat 1. Thats where the fun decks live because no one can rank either way anymore. Still gold 5 is good enough imo and easier to reach without risking a plat 5 meta where people might want to climb.

I think they will add Legend and King of Games rank in the future like duel links.

They definitely will. The game is basically an open beta atm. Its like they released early just to pump some numbers.

??? you still go against any kind of plat at plat 1 and it ain't worth the grind to bother with plat 5 to 1 rewards wise.

True true but atleast you get to just sit around playing whatever YOU want while still saying you are at the top of plat.

I stopped bothering with plat when they stopped letting us derank from it. I used to go to plat for the gems and then start playing whatever decks I wanted, now I can't get extra gems for going to plat and I cant derank from it, so I have no incentive whatsoever to do it.

The rank system in this game is abyssmally bad.

You literally cannot derank from gold 5, plat 5, or plat 1. No amount of bad decks will change that.

If you at plat 5, when reset season maybe you will go down more far than plat 1.. is it? I dont know the system rank when reset season..
At end of season you go to the bottom of the rank immediately prior to the one you are in. Plat 5 will derank to gold 5, same as plat 1.

Essentially if you stay in gold you get the exact same rewards for getting silver 5> gold 1 as you do gold 5 > plat 1 for significantly less effort. Which is why you see a lot more meta decks in gold now.

Ok, just to confirm. Rank is Plat Gold Silver, Tier is 1 2 3 4 5. I got the message that there is no way to drop rank. Then how about Tier? There are few post mentioning stay within the rank, which I interpret as you can drop Tier to avoid rank up.

Yes. You can stop at rank 1 of gold and just lose a bunch to go back down to rank 5.

Yes. You can stop at rank 1 of gold and just lose a bunch to go back down to rank 5.
That is of course implying players won't surrender when they see Gold 1 Players to push them into ranked.

Best off doing it at Gold 2.
