Who actually watches(watched) the anime beyond DM?
I watched ZEXAL and ARC-V. Wanted to watch VRAINS but real life had other ideas.

In case I get more time again, which ones are worth watching?

From favourite to least favourite, how would you rate them?

5ds has some really cool concepts, and has a lot of likeable characters. i honestly think if nostalgia didnt exist, 5ds would be my fav

My favorite series are 5Ds and Vrains for their stories and characters. Vrains was the first series that had a serious protagonist and story since 5Ds. I recommend watching both.

I have watched everything except the 5D's movie and season 0, including Sevens and the 2 episodes fo Go Rush that came out.

Premise: you have to watch the sub, because 4Kids (up to 5D's) and rebranded 4Kids (Zexal onwards). If you're watching the dub, I have no idea what the hell is wrong with you.

Yu-Gi-Oh Phantom Pharaoh
The first couple episodes are iconic for a good reason, but, sincerely, everything since then up to the start of the Battle City arc feels like a bad joke, because everyone is just playing house rules turbo, and Battle City itself doesn't really start to get interesting until the start of the single elimination section, with the exception of maybe a couple dules, like Jōnouchi vs Yugi. Then there's Legendary Dragons arc, which wouldn't even be terrible it it wasn't that there's a 20 minutes flashback every 30 seconds, which completely ruined the pacing.

Everything else is good, and I particularly like all the game lore that was explained in the final arc. Together with GX it even manages to make a convincing canonical explamation on why modern card arts look nothing like early card arts.

Yu-Gi-Oh Darkness Tendency
The first season is just very weak, it doesn't know if it wants to be a serious or a comedy show and ends up doing both things terribly. The only saving grace in season 1 is Manjoume, somehow Yu-Gi-Oh has always nailed the rivals. Seasin 2, after all the useless filler, which is about the entire first half of the season, it finally understands it wants to be the edgyest edge of Yu-Gi-Oh, and it does a masterful job at it until the very end.

Yu-Gi-Oh Stardust Crusaders
It's the only Yu-Gi-Oh season that's awesome from start to finish. Ok, Aki and Ruka didn't get the sapce they deserved being signers and all because Crow HAD to steal the screen time, but that's everything bad I have to say about it.

Yu-Gi-Oh Utopia is Unbreakable
People watch the first few episodes, notice that Yuma is an unbearable brat who has no idea of what he's doing and drop it. That was a terrible mistake, not the show, but you dropping it. It keeps getting better and better every arc,

Yu-Gi-Oh Golden Dimension
Zexal but in reverse: it starts great, but gets worse with every arc, to the point you wish that the last one was a fever dream.

Yu-Gi-Oh Cyberse Ocean
It's by far the darkest Yu-Gi-Oh, and manages to do it without the tinyest bit of edge. It would have probably beed the best Yu-Gi-Oh if it used season 2 to expand on the existing characters instead of throwing a to of new faces to the cast that, wth the sole exception of Soulburner (which has tons of problems, even tho I love his deck), neither were use in season 3, nor their deck got printed.

Yu-Gi-Oh Maximum Fusion Rush
It's the Smile PreCure of Yu-Gi-Oh. It's a comedy show at hearth, but that doesn't stop it from thelivering lots of great serious moments. The very first arc of Sevens is weak, and introduces a tons of characetrs that you think are gonna be one ofs, but starting from halfway the Maximum arc everything staps together and it's awesome.

I watched all seasons up to 5D's and some of Zexal. i did check out Vrains for a lil bit. (Long enough to see the first Master Duel in it)

It felt like they were abridging something but for children. Makes sense it's a children's show. The characters weren't interesting in the least.

I've watched most of the anime except Zexal and Vrains. The ones most worth watching are probably Arc-V and 5Ds in my opinion. They have the most entertaining duels and decent stories, though Arc-V seemed like the writers were just making it up along the way and throwing in stuff for nostalgia appeal.

I've watched all of GX, all of 5Ds (multiple times), half of Zexal, all of Arc-V and all of VRAINS.

Not really interested in Rush or Go Rush.

I watched all of GX and 5Ds, half of Zexal and am currently halfway through VRAINS and have seen maybe a dozen episodes of Sevens

I wasn't a fan of 5D's when it first came out (I thought the whole dueling on motorcycles was really stupid) but I appreciated it more when I watched it again years later. My biggest problem was that Aki was horribly underutilized and not really treated fairly and the twins grossly overused for how worthless they were.

Zexal is Zexal. We don't talk about Zexal. It got better in the second half, but was still awful.

VRAINS I don't dislike. It's got some cool concepts and themes and the female duelists are actually competent for a change (Ghost Girl best girl), but the hard pivot toward sci-fi that started with 5D's I think was a mistake. The show lost a lot of its charm when it went away from the mysticism stuff. VRAINS tries to capture some of that again with the cartoonish AI creating a world and one of a kind cards, but I don't think it really works. It also had the shortest run at only 120 episodes.

Sevens sucks and I hate it.

5d's, DM, GX, Vrains, Arc V, Zexal, the 2 rush ones.
(this is my personal preferences and if you disagree with me, that's fine, and they are all enjoyable, even though I liked 5d's more then Zexal doesn't make it trash to me)

I watched up till Sevens and that's about it

I found the characters in zexal annoying and as soon as I saw the main character in arc v clowning around I was immediately put off so I didn't watch it, I liked the rest though
