Anyone else get suspicious every time someone chooses to go second?

Like i immediately narrow my eyes and think "Is this numerons?"

This wasn't about numerons. It was just about the suspicion of why someone wants to go second due to the advantage most decks find going first. TO BE CLEAR I KNOW OTHER GOING SECOND DECKS EXIST. Numerons are just the most common.

There's a fair amount of blind second decks out there, so I'm not surprised. More than likely just Numeron or Blind Second.dek, but there's a fair amount of them so it just means I gotta set up the best board I can to prepare.

Which is why everytime I proceed to brick.

I always go second, I prefer to try to break a board than making a unbreakable one, I am sure there is more than just numerons that like to go second.

Hey man i just like going 2nd. I'd never play Numeron, my decks aren't about building an unbreakable omni negate board so going 1st just hurts me more.

I like to build decks that can do both personally. Its just uncommon that people use decks that actually WANT to go second more than first. My decks can do either but choosing first lets me cut off most peoples plans of going first, so i always go first if possible since my decks can.

Numerons aren't the only going second deck. Cyber Dragons are one of those decks.

Thing is I was gonna choose go first anyway so if you give it to me it doesn't really change the outcome I want. I figure you're probably playing Numeron or cyber dragons so I know your choke point and it usually turns into a free win barring bricks.

Thats why i added that second part about the post not being about numerons. I guess i gotta be even MORE specific.

Not really, some people just have a natural preference to go 2nd (mostly because of card advantage and being able to see what your opponent is playing).

And I said Numerons and Cydras for a reason. You have decks that are better when going second, so if they're in advantage because they can go second when losing coinflip or winning it. It's only a small portion of decks that are good when going 2nd.

On a related note, I've been getting REALLY suspicious every time I'm matched with someone using the default Rescue Rabbit mate.

If it turns out to be Numerons specifically, you can pass on an empty board to stop their OTK. (This also works on Mekk-Knights)

my usual starter requires me to attack with it. i cant do that if i dont go second.

I don't have negates so I go second, swarming field with otk monsters is all I can do and the majority of the time folks going second can destroy them all anyway so I just go second and try my luck if they can't negate my summons
