Predaplant Triphyoverutum negate not working?
so i have noticed the last few matches in this event that no mater how i summon it super poly, normal poly, and preda fusion. its negate special summon effect wont trigger no matter what. At first i thought this might have been due to protection but the effect is quick and doesn't target, and in my last duel against fluffal it didn't trigger on any fusion summon, same with lunalight. Is there something I'm missing or is this buggy, cus i dont think i have ever gotten its effect to go off since it was added.

Pretty sure it's like Thunder King Rai-Oh in the sense that it can only negate inherent summons. That means stuff like link summons, synchro summons, etc that don't come from an effect.

If a card effect (like a fusion spell, etc) summons the monster Triph won't work. It's a lot less useful than you'd think and only works well off of super poly, using your opponent's monsters as a faux board wipe.

Yea, can be activated in response to a Special Summon from the Extra Deck that does not start a Chain Link, such as a Synchro Summon, Xyz Summon, Pendulum Summon, or Link Summon. It is not activated in Chain to the activation of a card effect that Special Summons from the Extra Deck, such as Polymerization.

I only know this because I made the same mistake on YGOPRO, before MD was released (I don't use YGOPRO anymore, no point when there's MD unless I want to test a deck to make sure it actually functions before investing to make it in MD).

You can also technically use it on Kaiju, but your monster is still Tributed and sent to the graveyard so there's no point.
