Funny I never had to spend money on HERO, and since they're getting new support soon I still have no incentive of spending money on HERO. Seems more like money spending issues than being P2W

So we just going to pretend selection boxes aren't a thing? Where cards you may want you only have 12/60 chances to get 1 of a card you may want as a F2P player? And if you don't get a play set of three or even one out of those initial 12 times and don't have the money you are literally potentially paygated out of strategies if you fail those odds? Meanwhile this game you can craft any card at any point with a relatively generous free currency and crafting system compared to other games?

In FACT, the video you posted is in regards to the lack of a card pool Duel Links has in regards to Master Duel and brings up the frustratingly tedious farming of gems and says nothing in regards to the currency system in regards to Master Duel but instead glorifies over the cards you have access to as a (hero) player.

Come up with an actual problem next time.

Edit: Skip to 1:46 for proof for those who haven't played Duel Links.
Edit 2: For those who don't want to watch this, to put into perspective you have a limit of 12 purchases with the F2P gems which at the time were hard to come by in the first place. It took Dkayed over 19 packs before he got the card he initially wanted (Book of Moon) which is OVER the free to play limit and that's only cause he had spent 68$ up to that point, FOR ONE CARD FOR A MOBILE GAME. Nevermind that he has to reset the box in order to fish within that 60 pack 2 more times that was sold for a limited time that you had no way of crafting.

Do not.

Also fun little factoid about the video, it released a day before Master Duel had launched so it's just some meme video somebody did while waiting for Master Duel to launch like all those topics being made and for whatever reason this is to be taken as the game is P2W by a somebody with 1 min on their account :cleanseal:

In all fairness, there are other platforms people can play this game on like the switch and mobile. I made my post to help educate individuals before they take this misinformation at face value without even the least amount of due diligence and repeat said nonsensical nonsense.

Finish your solo gates and use rental decks in events. You get plenty of free gems without doing dailies. Don't build decks with Master Packs. Craft super rares from different secret packs to try and get free craft material.

It's pay to skip grind. Everything you can get in game, you can get by just playing the game.

It's not pay to win. You can easily get ingame currency to build a competitive deck. The problem with modern day Yugioh is that it is not Yugioh anymore. The game has become toxic af with it's decks and meta.

pay to skip is still pay 2 win.

but people look at masterduel and compare it to the tcg and it looks reasonable in comparison.

Not quite when the grind isn't needed to win but just to buy more decks.
