Are Ice Barriers worth building now?
Got max gem stack and not sure when the next box will drop. Aside from Tenpai (which I think we're getting next?) and Fiendsmith (which we won't be getting for a while probably), this is the only other deck I'm interested in currently so might start trying to build it with excess gems.

Is it expensive? Bearing in mind I have a lot of the extra deck already since I play a Penguin deck. How consistent is it? Does it have varied plays or is it a flowchart deck? I don;t really care if the deck is amazing since I just slum around in gold, but want it to at least be fun to play.

Only things leaked for the next box is Aroma AG and Ragnaraika so who knows if Tenpai is getting added but as far as Ice Barrier goes it seems ok, it's basically just build Lancea then rely on floodgates and it get's to it consistently it seems plus you can always pair it with Spright

They seemed alright based on the event a while back.

Though I highly recommend adding the Trishulas if you can, I don't think they were in the loaner deck but they're pretty solid removal that banish stuff which is neat.

From what I understand of it Ice Barrier is kinda flowcharty, but does have some wiggle room in regards to which Ice Barrier you spend your normal summon on. Usually you want to play Hexa, effect to send Mage, mage fetches whichever of Swordsman or speaker you didn't open with (Swordsman prefered), Both swordsman and speaker special summon themselves, swordsman fetches Mage. At that point you can make a Level 10 Synchro (usually Lancea, though Gymir's prefered against some decks) with Swordsman and Speaker, then use Mage sending Hexa to make a bunch of tokens for a Coral Dragon into a level 7 or 8 Synchro of choice.

Deck is on the expensive side, since every main-deck card I just mentioned is played at three and except for Hexa they're all SR or UR. Now is the best time to pick it up there ever will be though, since every card but the Icejades and a few random Synchros are in the featured pack.

It's not too expensive on the UR front but it is pretty much a stun deck at the end of the day so it can be pretty flowcharty. It just makes summoning those main deck living floodgate Ice Barriers from deck easy and Lancea has a pretty good floating effect too. I had the most luck using it in a deck that had a lot of go 2nd tools because the deck really shines in more simplified gamestates.

Eh, not sure if I'd enjoy it then...I do like the artwork though. Guess I'll hold off for now until the next box drops.

Events a very poor read Konami tried to sell ice barriers with it.

I heard someone say lightsworn is coming I don't know where they know it but it certainly caught my attention.

Dkayed leaks the upcoming packs on his streams before they get posted on MDM (or rather than them showing up on MDM) to try to remain relevant, I guess.

If you search the MDM subreddit (or Discord) for "leaks", you'll find whatever the latest one was.
I dont watch any of his content didnt care for it and I actively close MDM after checking it because I noticed he hooks his stream into it I also dont need his discord clogging up my tabs but if they are coming im going to be eating good

You can play it in different ways if you want, the deck has a lot of flavor and lore to it since it's a duel terminal archetype. However, as many have said, the optimal way to play it with the new support is ridiculously linear, you use a few specific cards to get to lancea and maybe a big crocodragon, then summon floodgates on the opponent's turn. I think the extra deck and some of the new support is expensive in terms of crafting material, but it isn't horrible in that sense
