How's the solo/crafting system in the game?
I'm interested in making a Chaos Max Dragon. I have an obsession with this build since the other games I played. How many months is it going to take me to get the cards for the simple / old version of the deck? I could do a few ranked matches but I am mostly interested in collecting/getting the cards and making decks and play in solo modes.

You can unlock Secret Packs for purchase by either pulling a SR or higher card in the set from any other pack or by crafting an SR or higher card. You can break down cards you don't need that are able to be uncrafted (certain packs give you uncraftable cards, all structure decks give you uncraftable cards) for 10 points for whatever rarity you broke down. So if you break down an SR card you get 10 SR points. It takes 30 points of the same rarity to craft a card. Meaning it takes 30 SR points to craft an SR.

Thank you.
Sounds easy enough but I take it, it is going to be harder to do that. How many weeks or months is it going to take me to craft one UR of Chaos Max Dragon?
Also, I apologize, to you and to every other player here, in case this is an obnoxious deck. I assume, many players love the same things as I do and I understand how it can be annoying and OP in some cases. I will play randomly in ranked and pick whichever deck is possible for me to play so long as I can still farm/get points. I am patient. I only want OP decks like this one to enjoy myself in the story/missions, if that is even possible. I am still learning about this specific game and checking up online while waiting for maintenance to be over.

You don't need to craft Chaos MAX Dragon. He's part of the structure deck in the shop. You can just buy 3 copies of the deck. You'll get 3 copies of every card in it. But on average it really depends on your pulls. The best strat is to either pull from the set the UR is in that you want or pull from one you've already dipped heavily into so that every UR is a dupe that you can safely uncraft. It doesn't really take all that long to get 1k gems for a 10 pack pull. Your first goal in my opinion is buying the Blue Eyes Max structure deck every 500 gems you get until you get 3 copies. When you buy your second one build a custom deck using the better cards in it and do it again when you hit 3 copies. Toss the worse cards for more copies of the good ones.

Also, no it's not annoying or strong. But you shouldn't care about that. Play whatever you like. It's not your job to make sure the other player has fun. People will complain about anything. Just play what you want.

you havent seen obnoxious decks just yet, overall the whole thing should only take about 2-3 weeks max to craft, and buy 3 of the structures, as long as you do all the missions they gave along with make use of the battlepass that you can use the gems you get from solo/ranked/event. handtraps and all like maxx c and ash blossom will take you more time tho as those are core URs. you should focus on those first if you havent got them already

Your second goal after getting 1500 gems and 3 copies of that structure deck are to save gems until you hit 1k increments and then pull for BEWD cards you need for your deck. The Structure doesn't have Blue Eyes Spirit Dragon, Bingo Machine Go, Neo Ultimate Dragon, or Trade In and you'll want all of those. All of them but Trade In are in the Secret Pack "Azure in the Ivory" and Trade In is in the Structure Deck Origin of the Galaxy.

Thank you, once again. I really appreciate all the info.
Do you mind if I ask one more thing? You don't have to reply if you are tired.
When you say for me to buy 3 copies of the deck. Assume I have the 1,500 gems and I do that, am I going to guarantee get the Chaos Max Dragon from each one of them? Or, do I have to keep buying it infinitely until and IF I ever get one copy from that? Also, sub question but how would I know/be sure which cards are the worse ones to trash out for points?

Also, extra info: I just like to keep it nice and fair for everyone to enjoy the game and if something is too OP or too annoying for other players, I prefer to avoid using it and going for something older/simpler as a deck just to have fun and to make it a bit easier. I know this because I know about frustration and pain and I understand if someone had a tough day and they want to play to win and enjoy the battle, I would really like to give a fair challenge and make it worth it for them too.

Thank you, again.

Thank you for telling me. I am considered a baby new player in this specific game as I will start playing it now, literally, when the game is up again from the maintenance. I didn't even know about the game's existence until I just saw it moments ago in the store. I got interested and I liked the UI menu and the cards. Is it true it has all the cards from the previous games and from the anime show?

Structure Decks in-game are modeled after how Structure Decks work irl. They are a set of specific cards every time you buy it. IRL and in-game have the same strategy where you buy 3 copies of the structure to get a playset (3 copies of the same card) of the deck's core cards. You take the ones out that you don't need and substitute in other cards that work better.

Every time you buy a copy of any structure deck in the game's store you will get the same cards. You can only buy a structure deck 3 times but this also means if you spend 1500 gems you get a playset of every card in it. It's worth doing even if you already have pulled those cards because then you can uncraft the ones you've already pulled and use those points to craft cards you need.

That seems to be amazing and beautiful at the same time. It will definitely make my life easier to get a hold of the Chaos Max Dragon then. Already getting too happy and invested with this.

I will follow your advice and I will try to aim to get 1,500 gems. I wonder if I will make it in time before the new update event(?) runs out.

It's far more efficient to buy Structure decks if you need cards in them than trying to pull them in random packs. Sure you can get lucky and pull a playset of your core cards in two 10-pack pulls. But that requires insane luck and you can just buy three 500 gem structures to get guaranteed playsets. BEWD is sub-optimal right now and it's heavy with UR and SR cards so you'll have less of a grind buying the structure decks (one of the starter decks has dragon and BEWD stuff in it as well.

It depends on how much time you have to play and how often you win, but you can get 1500 gems fairly quickly outside of an event. Very fast in an event especially if it has bonus missions up.

I will suggest you also making a meta deck or anti-meta deck if you intend to play Ranked or Casual matches with other players. BEWD is a fun deck but it doesn't currently fight meta decks very well. It's getting new support soon but I'm not sure if it'll be enough to bump it up to a meta threat. You should get enough gems to easily craft a fun deck and a meta deck when you start. After a certain point you'll have a set of decks you can mess around with.

I can tell I will be so lost when I start playing the game in the next hour or two after the maintenance is done. Hahaha.

Thank you so much, seriously, again, for all this info you provided to me. It is going to help me. I tend to forget things and details, but I will try to come back here and check out what we said. Might get a few screenshots of the thread too. As a player I know I will be really bad and weak because I keep forgetting. I just really love the cards and their designs, so I always going for collection mostly and for casual matches. I grew up with Yu-Gi-Oh! since the first time it came out and I was a kid.

If you want to collect cards you might want to look into just buying singles or packs irl. It's pretty fun pulling cards even if you don't get money cards. As far as casual matches goes just be okay with spending tons of UR points and gems to craft decks that are gimmicky and won't always perform well.

Sometimes you get lucky and your fun nostalgia decks can fight modern meta. I run an anime rival account here as my alt. Armed Dragon Thunder can Chazz it Up against meta, but really only because Master Duel has a nonsensical banlist that is different from both TCG and OCG. It relies on multiple banned cards in TCG.

I should also add that since you want a BEWD Chaos MAX deck and it's a ritual monster you'll want to think about Ritual Support cards like Preparation of Rites, Pre-preperation of Rites, Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands, Senju of the Ten Thousand Hands, Sonic Bird, and Advanced Ritual Art. They will dilute the BEWD part of your deck but if your focusing on MAX you need to be able to turbo out Ritual Monsters so it becomes a fair trade off. I've had to do that in my Relinquished/Restrict deck.

Sounds good. To be honest and fair with you, I am having a difficulty re-remembering all the terms but I feel my subconscious somehow is picking up, so I should be fine, for the most part. Yes, I'd really like to focus on Chaos MAX but I will try to give time for other things as well. I can't really afford cards irl and seeing this game here which is also free makes me happy enough to want to try it. I also don't mind about the decks being gimmicky and all, as long as I can play them and most of all, to be able to understand them and memorize their tactics.

About your deck's name(?) that's so cool. Chazz was a good character in these PSP games, back then, years ago. They actually made me love the new generation (back then, after the original Yu-Gi-Oh! series).

generally you can get any cards in this game completely free, just need to spend some time farming materials is all, materials as in UR/SR mats or gems. personally i made over 50 decks so far in this game and at least half was meta with tons of UR required, just needs a little bit of dedication farming gems and materials
