Its that time of the month...
I need some advice. Its time for me to spend some gems. Now I know people don't want another Tenpai user joining the ladder but I honestly gotta say, I'm not feeling these 3 packs in the shop.

Now I'm sitting on 270 UR mats, is it feasible to make a tenpai deck? I don't want to make it a deck I want to actually get but when I think about it, the ritual beasts deck and other 2 archetypes in this pack look interesting. I kinda wanted to build a ritual beast deck in Duel Links and it fits the criteria for "hard to pilot".

Now, I wanna ask, do you guys think its ok to nut my gems into this Pack and see if I can make a deck with the most core cards from whichever archetype I luck out with?

Ritual beasts are certainly not for everybody. They are complicated for sure, but I believe that falls more under keeping track of your sequencing and which limits you have already used throughout your turn while you keep looping the same cards over and over. It's more like having to keep track of specific names in a convoluted FTK rather than, say, sky striker where the challenge comes from always having to think about how to break your opponent's board. Also worth noting that the cards that win you the game are not actually the ritual beast cards; it's dimension shifter, archnemeses protos, and thunder dragon colossus that will do all the heavy lifting. Some people are fine with that, some really dislike it.

Tenpai is pretty expensive, almost every card in the archetype is either a SR or UR. You will be crafting 10+ URs just for the engine alone, and that's not to mention any generics and board breakers you may need since the deck is 2/3 non-engine. I'd say it's definitely worth going into the pack even if you want just them.

Other than that, one archetype worth noting while it's still in the shop is ragnaraika. It's fine as a standalone deck, but it really shines as an engine and can be played in many different decks. If you have interest in plants, reptiles, and/or insects, it would be a really good idea to pull for these while they're still in a selection pack.

Also, if you haven't been following the news, we are apparently getting a surprise selection pack this week which has some...interesting previews so far. If it's not burning a hole in your pocket immediately, it may be worth waiting a few days to see what's in there

NGL I've been interested in plants/insects/reptile for a while now IRL but I just feel they arn't great in MD or IRL despite being a somewhat decent engine. I don't think I'll be able to afford Tenpai and Ritual Beast, infernoids and Goblins looking interesting to me.

Maybe...maybe i should try for ritual beasts and put a little into getting a bystial engine? Can't go wrong with that right?

Unfortunately I can't wait much longer. I kinda need to spend my gift box gems at least.
Id go for ragnaraika. Its the least konami made deck. Not sure how id play it but i could see a search-maxx c-the-deck kind of playstyle.

I just don't think its that great compared to the goblin/infernoid/ritual beast if you know what I mean. I mean, sure yeah it might be a new level of casual rouge, but it feels it will just be that.

i currently couldnt even tell you. its pretty obvious youd just main 8 ragnaraika cards (3 seed, 1 bloom, 1 cont. trap, the other 3 monsters as 1-ofs) that leaves 32 cards. a bit much to make a call on its playability without doing some playtesting, but i have a feeling its actually not weak and itd be worth putting the effort in.

The level one plant "Evil Seed" is the driving force behind the deck. Anything that can summon it is recommended. Lonefire, One For One, etc. If ur going for the pure build I would recommend each of the main deck at 3 except maybe Armored Lizard, though 2 would be recommended. Just not one.

In the extra only Skeletal Soldier is recommended at 3. The others r fine at 1 or 2. Goddess is also recommended for those problems that Stag Sovereign & Chain Coils can't deal with.

Ya'll seriously recommending Ragnariaka over the other decks? Its potential is practically unknown, (I low key wanna buy some of the cards in the bargain bin IRL though) I do kinda feel like dabbling with beetroopers.

Beetroopers pure is not really a thing(or at-least not a good thing). They do have good synergy with Battlewasps though. I think the new Battlewasp cards r kind of pricey, but u can make a playable deck out of just Beetroopers and the old Battlewasps. Could probably make the whole deck for like 6$ or something using the Level 8 Hama and lv 12 Armageddon Battlewasp monsters. Armageddon is outdated but Hama is still quite good considering how ez he is to summon.. The other synchros r decent one ofs & u will want the Beetrooper Link monsters, especially the Link 2. Multiple copies of that guy.

Against Fiendsmith Yubel or the upcoming Ryzeal. No. No I do not. Not sure how expensive that deck is. Probably pricey, but it is a decently strong deck.

Plant pile is one of the best decks in the game right now. The turn 1 board is basically unbreakable without very specific counters and turn 2 they can play through a massive amount of disruption rather consistently. A good player on the deck easily washes everybody else, but apparently there just aren't enough good players willing to do that. Not even fiendsmith can build a full board off one monster, and a vanilla at that. I personally stick to the reptile build, which is still really strong but not as good as the plants. The value is already there, but it's also guaranteed to have a place in any future support that any of these three types get

When you say plant variant you're solely talking about rikka version right? or rikka and traphole monsters?
