Two things:

1. Who the hell "overrates" Red-Eyes? Everyone knows how bad the archetype is. Even the ones who mainly focus on anime duels usually avoid this one.

2. The DM pandering is on KONAMI, not the archetype. There is no reason as for why they couldn't get a support wave which is more focused on the GX stuff to which your "less dm era pandering" wouldn't apply.

This thread aged well. Dragoon and Verte are now on the same game and it's not even that widely used at the high levels or so I've heard. People don't want to put 2 bricks and a harsh drawback Fusion just for 1 negate and 2 pops.

As for a structure deck, Konami needs to make one in real life first. What's even good? Besides Dragoon, and maybe the new Metalmorphs. Which funnily can work well in a Blue-Eyes deck, not that they need it any more.

1. Brick-eyes is gonna be a thing of the past, unironically this time. Have you seen the OCG lists?

2. No, if it sells, they'll keep making it. I love the legacy support, but it actually frustrates me how the marketing implies legacy support are viable in the competitive setting (they're often not, Blue-Eyes right now is the exception), when competitive players and "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ yugiboomer crybabies" are two different groups of people.

And did you seriously get yourself banned for a year, came back, only to get banned again? Man, the vile hatred in your veins is something else.

Aside from those (which, as opposed to the cards which were specifically designed for the archetype, are more hybrid cards to begin with) the only actually good one is Red-Eyes Insight. But there are also a few decent ones:

- Red-Eyes Black Meteor Dragon
- Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon
- Red-Eyes Flare Metal Dragon
- Meteor Black Comet Dragon
- Red-Eyes Fang with Chain

The rest ranges from "nice try but back to the drawing board" to "just forget about it".
