I was looking forward to Tenpai, but with it being basically straight UR's it's firmly out of my budget as a F2P player.
hopeful stuff, ACTUAL GOOD FIREFIST SUPPORT PLEASE if this is the year of fire, might as well bring that one back too.
Year of Fire was last year, we're on Year of Legacy Support
I ballpark only pulling a single UR on a 10-pull and only getting around 1000 gems a week if I'm try-harding. In practice, I usually end up with less than that due to real life stuff getting in the way or simple bad luck on my pulls. Events skew these figures, but I almost never get the full 3k extra gems from them anyway.
Tenpai requires a bare minimum of 10 new URs to get, disregarding off-archetype staples and other essential cards I might not have like Ruddy Rose. Assuming perfect pulls, this would be around 2 months of try-hard work from me before I can even consider playing a rough version. I will not get perfect pulls, so I can safely double that amount of time with the expectation it will take even longer. By that time I can assume it will either be hit, powercrept by some new release, or everyone else that has been playing with it all that time will know how to counter it and I won't be able to get anywhere with it.
That's what I mean by budget. The amount of time it would take me to assemble a functional build of the deck does not balance with the amount of use I expect to get out of it. Thus, it's not worth investing in.
You got my attention.
I wouldn't be surprised if Chamber got her dragon form.
Orcust is a deck I really love theme wise, but every tiem I try them here jsut end being very meh, I hope the new support changes that.
I used to play Galdiator beast in legacy of the duelist, the support looks quite decent so I want try it.
The Primite archetype looks interesting, although I think is doing nothering for now in the real game, the art looks amazing.
Mimighouls seems fun and interesting too.
I would like to say Jurracs but a deck as old as jurrac that got no archetype support in so many years is not going to be decent with the amount of cards it got.
malice because waifu, although nto sure about this one, I dont like combo decks (combo as having to make many moves to get to their board) and all links decks require quite a lot of moves to get to their board.
Apodrakes but they seem to not do a lot, but I just like the art
and finally the new XYZ kaiba stuff, I really love that monster I think is very iconic, and seems decent enough.
Gimmick puppets because the theme is cool, although I am not sure if it does anything wort beyond the FTK
also I had completely forgot and seems no one really cares, but clear world got support cards and it seems is fun enough.
I am kinda waiting for a lot of stuff, but in the end of the day I kinda make 1 or 2 new decks each time we get new card and then kill the ones I end not liking
From OCG/TCG imports:
- Max Metalmorph
- Red-Eyes Black Fullmetal Dragon
From the Cards that are currently forbidden:
- Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon
In a more abstract way:
A proper new support wave for Red-Eyes and with "proper" I mean the cards need to be better in context of the archetype than the generic DARK / Dragon support they already have access to (e.g. there is no real point in playing Cards of the Red Stone (the "in-archetype" draw 2 spell) when Allure of Darkness is generally just better) while also not being needlessly restrictive.
