Can you actually prove that at all, or is that that just more nonsense people pull out of their ass?
They get this high simply by playing enough. This is actually a nice illustration how useless the ranking ladder as a measure of strength is. The ranking ladder is a motivational device, and nothing else.
Up until Platinum IV you can never derank. This implies that by just playing enough you will eventually reach Platinum V no matter what. Even bots specifically designed to lose as quickly as possible eventually get there, and towards the end of the month, they all get stuck in Platinum V, because should they ever, by chance, get into Platinum IV, they are relegated back quickly.
The non-self-destruct-bots like the one that equips a normal monster with 3 equip cards for instance get into Platinum V even faster.
So, next time you hear something like "wow, I reached Gold with this terrific deck!" you smile and congratulate them. ;-)
Seems like pretty solid numbers really considering.
real cause: top tier deck used every 7/10 games when you play = lose chance 80-100%
