Any deck building tips for my pet deck?
I run a Red Eyes pet deck but it's just been getting absolutely destroyed in all forms of PvP

I would like to ask for cards that protect my cards instead of negating opponent's cards as I personally don't like negating and do enjoy watching my opponent combo mambo away for the most part.

that monster reborn for dragons card protects against destruction

Oh yeah! Return of the dragon lords right?

I'm sorry Red-Eyes is absolute garbage.

and not in a Blue-Eyes or Dark Magician way, Red-Eyes cards barely even work together as an archetype and a bunch have weird anti-synergy.

The best thing the deck does is a inconsistent FTK that loses to 1 imperm.

I know, but I can't help but love him anyway. Mostly because of the bandit Kieth vs Joey duel. I really wish they'd give Red Eyes better support and an archetypal strategy.

Run disruption, not negation. Things you can activate on your opponents turn that destroy or banish something. I'm not sure what does that for red eyes but if you don't want to negate do that instead.

The problem is that because there's so many options for removal there's not really an amazing way of protecting things without negates unless you play floodgates. I sure as hell can't set up an unbreakable board with my ranked deck so for me it's more about going second and hitting an OTK. But there are cards like Return of the Dragon Lords that should fit what your after.

If you wanted to improve there's a few questions to consider:
What type of opener do you go for on the first turn? Double flare metal gives your opponent a minimum of 8 plays before defeat. Cards like Droll or other hand traps should pair well together too.

How set are you on keeping it pure? I went up against a Red-Eyes/Kash deck not too long ago that set up a Shangri-Ira, Flare Metal, Red-eyes and Fenrir on the first turn. They lost but it could give a lot of people a hard time. Dragon Rulers could also help to speed it up and open up more synchro/rank 7 options.

Pick one of the things Red-Eyes can do and focus on it. Like, rush out multiple copies of Flare as basically "we have Masquerade at home"... actually, can you toss in an Albaz engine to have Masquerade on top of Flare? I have an evil grin just thinking about it.

Red-Eyes (for the most part) is not about protection, it's about recursion. Focus on the dragons and cards that send / summon from the GY like Black Meteor or REDMD. Also: the Rank 7 toolbox > any archetype related boss monsters and the only Fusion Monster that's actually worth running is MBCD (at least until they finally release Dragoon).

You should also consider running the Bystials as they do a good job supplementing the archetype since they actually have the synergy with the core game plan of the Deck you'd wish most of the actual Red-Eyes cards to have.
