Why in the world Maxx C is unlimited
This should be limited or banned, I have to run called by the grave just to counter this staple card
If I don't have it, I am ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Is basically skip your opponent next turn since If I summon too much, opponent will rekt me with their card advantage next round, if i summon too few, I will get rekted also due of weak board

Preaching to the choir, beating a dead horse. Literally no one likes Maxx C being unlimited, Konami has refused to do anything about it since the game's launch. Let alone for those poor sods playing OCG, it's always been legal over there afaik. Worst part is it's inconsistant on Konami's part, Maxx C is in most ways a better Pot of Greed. No reason for Pot to be forbidden if the bug isn't.

That said, why would you not run Called by even without Maxx C floating around? You do realize it's good for way more than just countering handtraps, right? Turning off many of GY effects for example.

Different format mentality. OCG largely plays in best of 1, and MD is exclusively best of 1, so their ban lists generally go under the rough idea that more ridiculous bs can be allowed because it's all sacky anyway as long as they hit consistency on them to not guarantee it happening. It's why you see the TCG ban big boss monsters but leave the rest of the deck untouched, while MD/OCG will leave the boss monster alive but limit their starters and extenders that get to it.

But with how many cards they specifically hit around the existence of maxx "C", it's pretty obvious that it's a sunk cost situation at this point. Look at how they treat cards like fenrir or dragoon that can put up a strong board without special summoning too many times for example. They've spent so long doing everything in their power to keep this card legal that they probably don't want to go through all the work of undoing that

I think everyone is holding their breath to see what OCG does when Multchummy Purulia is in

Because Konami decided that Yugioh will become purely cheating like Magic the Gathering

Because people don't understand how the cards actually works. They think it helps somehow because sometimes it ruins the game in their favor. Konami peddles this idea themselves.

So basically Stun that is equal trash to play against. Or Floo that most people still hates.

you unironically might as well ask what is the meaning of life, you'll get a real answer to that sooner than you will one from konami

Well, you can't say that they don't listen, at least they've limited the Crossout Designator so everyone now has at least two more free slots in their deck.

Limiting it would be the worst of both worlds; it'd still be just as broken, but it wouldn't happen often enough to be worth preparing for so metas where Ash isn't (otherwise) good would be even sackier. Ban the roach!

Honestly at this point just less Roach is fine. It being sacky is fine because the alternative is having to deal with it both by negating it and by seeing it resolve as well as playing it yourself. All in all the less roach the better. Having the counter in hand doesn't make me enjoy seeing it.

according the replays, maxx C is in something like wither 89 or 95% of decks.

if a card is in even 50% of decks, it needs to be banned or made compulsory. as in everyone gets a set amount and must bring them every game.

It's WAY better than Pot of Greed, the fact that it's unlimited insane.
I understand the principle of "something needs to counter how SS heavy modern decks are" perfectly, but it doesn't need to be this objectively broken.
Perfect solution is to retrain it. Ban Maxx C, release an equivalent card that actually has some limits to it.

In fact, consider this: https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Multchummy_Purulia

Make more stuff like that, it's Maxx C but not insane.
