More understanding of specific cards interaction
Hello.

The opponent in ranked duel used ''Servant of Endymion'' which is a Pendulum/effect card and combined it with it's ''Power of the guarians'' which is a spell card.

I had an ''Dark Bribe'' and ''Solemn Judgment'' which both is an trap card with an counter type and both was set on my field. A few times the opponent was able to do an direct damage to me thanks to it's effect from Servant Of Endymion while being combined with Power of the guardians spell card only to make it more powerful... it is at my understanding that the moment of the activation of the spell card(s) as stated from my trap cards should have negated the opponent's spell card, no? since power of the guardians spell card activated it's effect to add in more number counter so either my Dark bribe or Solemn Judgment should activated from that moment, but it didn't. some interaction i'm not understanding at all?

Activation of a spell card =/= activation of an effect.

Your counter traps can only be activated as a chain to when the card is placed on the field, aka, it's activated, afterwards, the card can activate it's effect and you can't chain those specific counter traps because they can't be chained to it's effect.

In order to be chained to a card's effect as well, not only it's activation, it would have to read something like Borreload Savage Dragon, and by that, I mean like this:

"When your opponent activates a card or effect (Quick Effect): You can remove 1 Borrel Counter from this card; negate the activation. You can only use this effect of "Borreload Savage Dragon" once per turn."

Thank you for the further explanation as it made more sense.
